We had a delicious lunch at this restaurant. The food was first class and reasonably priced. The premises were very clean and the tables were beautifully laid. The service was excellent and very friendly, and there was plenty of parking. We would highly recommend this as somewhere to go for a meal.

We visited on a very hot evening and sat outside. Bar staff were very helpful and friendly although I guess not too experienced. We ate in the garden, starters were tasty and plentiful. Mains were to order and to perfection. Our waitress was excellent nothing was too much trouble for her. She made us feel very special, she is an... More

We found the Galleon after walking from the beach into highcliffe we walked past another pub in the area where we were greeted by what you could only describe as vagrants with there shirts off outside shouting and swearing the we came to the galleon the staff were very welcoming and the manager was charming and took time out to... We have been to the Galleon twice in the last few weeks and it was excellent on both occasions. One of our party is in a neck brace and the staff were very accommodating about getting him a seat where he would not get knocked. The staff are extremely friendly and on being told it was our daughters'' birthday were... More

Tried to book for Sunday evening but were told service finished at 6pm on Sundays so came on the Monday and enjoyed an excellent meal although service was slow due to most of the staff had left when the new company took over . However , our waiter [ Alberto] deserved a medal as he worked damned hard to ensure... More

I was greated by disinterested staff behind the bar. It wasn't busy, however it took me several minutes to gain the attention the the idle bar staff chit chatting away to one another. When I had finally ordered , paid and sat down, inside, I might add, I noticed dog waste on the floor. I Notified the staff... Not my... More

Thanks for the nice review. You visited The Galleon 3 days after our company took ownership of The Galleon. We have now started to implement some subtle changes, including the introduction of new items to the menu which we hope you will enjoy. More

Not sure if this review is valid or not as after we had eaten here we were told that the place had been sold and new owners were taking over the following week. Even so the food we had was good portions and well presented.

Ate here for the first time in over a year. Very satisfied with the size and quality of our meals but the highlight of the evening was the outstanding level of customer service provided by the staff. Most notably, the waiter who served us was excellent and was able to deal with an especially difficult customer on an adjacent table... More

Had been here before and thought it was good so decided to try it again. Sorry to say it lost its sparkle. This place could be so much more than just average. Tweak the menu a little and a little more attention to detail and I'm sure The Galleon would have a few more bums on seats on a Friday... More
