Disappointed to be told on Bank Holiday Weekend at 3pm on a Sunday that unless we booked they didn't have enough roast dinners so we couldn't have one in the bar, supposed to serve roasts 12 - 8 on a Sunday!!!!! Poor show!!!!

Just got back from the galleon. We are all very impressed. Went for the two course menu which is amazing value. I had lasagne which was delicious and clearly homemade followed by the treacle sponge which was also good. My niece who is under two loved the pasta and ice cream. Can't fault the staff, friendly and helpful. Will definitely... More

Can't believe this place used to be good as used to be a regular. Poor management, has led the staff to be so incompetent, rude and selfish. Food quality up and down not consitent, Generally a place to avoid at all costs!!

Disappointed with the food and the wait. Was not warned of a 45 minute delay and when you're with two hungry small children it is not acceptable.

It is very evident that a lot of money has been spent on refurbishing this pub. All the staff were friendly and welcoming. The meals were very hot and well prepared. The only drawback they took a long time to reach the table. There appeared to be a problem with the cookers and give the manager his due he did... More

We dropped in here with some friends on a lovely summers day. Friendly welcome and service from the manager Jamie. Took a table in the large beer garden. Menu extensive, all the usual pub favourites. There was a mix up with our order, but the wrongly delivered items were replaced with no hesitation. This is a venue that you could... More

Standard pub grub, good choice, including vegetarian. Service quick and friendly. We had dinner on two consecutive evenings. The first was well cooked and tasty but on the second night both my chicken burger and my friends haddock had been over cooked, and were very dry. They forgot the Mayo in my chicken burger so it was very dry indeed.... More

Especially when we all got up and you kindly seated us in the restaurant. Thank you for also trying to accommodate the dog! Much... More

We took our visitors from London for a meal there. The Galleon had not always been our favorite restaurant. This time we were really overwhelmed by the attentive and so friendly staff as well as the food which was cooked and spiced to perfection and well presented. Recommend the sea bass on a vegetable rague base and aubergine friitters as... More
