Welcoming on arrival... when seated we were asked if we would like to order drinks I chose a white wine soda spritzer which was poured into two seperate glasses which meant having to drink the wine half way down the glasss before being able to add the soda ~ not quite the same as having it in the one glass.... We were looking for a Thai or Chinese and decided to give this a go. It's a small place, conveniently located and with a warm welcome on arrival. The restaurant was about 2/3 full on a Saturday night in August. The menu had a good selection and we were served drinks and then food quickly. It was all fresh and... More

we have lived in Christchurch for 13 years, have passed this place hundreds of times and never tried so yesterday we decided to give it a go! We left our decision late only phoning mid afternoon but the lady on the phone was very helpful and assured us if we could arrive at about 8.30 we would have a table.... More

I use to eat here all the time and have never had a bad meal. The staff were always really friendly and very happy to tweak the meals to make them a little more spicy for me. The homemade ice cream is fantastic.

A very small, quiet restaurant, which was happy to accommodate a hungry family of four on a wet Sunday evening when we couldn't get a table at The Globe. Wonderful food, and the staff were happy to recommend dishes for our children who didn't want anything too spicy. These places live or die by their reputation and this place is... More

We've been going here for a few years now, and the food is always of the same standard (GOOD). A lot of places, the experience changes with chefs or over time, but Kai and Somporn always deliver great tasting food, and the wine is reasonable as well. It is very quiet, so if you like a noisy place then this... More

This is a small cosy restaurant with friendly and efficient staff. Eating alone I opted for a simple pad Thai and it was served amazingly quickly and was very good indeed. Had their home made coconut ice cream afterwards which was very tasty. Looking forward to going back with others and being a bit more adventurous.

This is by far the best Thai Restaurant we have been to. The food is absolutely delicious and the owners are soooooo friendly. They will cook their food especially to your degree of spicyness! We just love the fact that it is small and love the personal touch of fresh orchids on each table, apparently brought in every Monday. Highly... More

We come here whenever we want to eat Thai, and we are never disappointed. Our most recent visit was mid July. The food is very authentic and always makes me look forward to my next trip to Thailand. This time the shared mixed starters were especially delicious. Good house wine (Casa Rivas). The ambience is very relaxed (there are only... More
