Urban and wild, modern and traditional, local and global. This is Galerija okusov. You must get to know us to feel our story, which writes itself. We have developed into a restaurant to which you have high expectations what drives us to always create something new - at this point, thank you for not allowing us to fall asleep. When creationing dishes we focuse on authentic taste of local and fresh ingredients, of course, only seasonal deliverable. And yes, if Pag's squids are better, we rather agree with the fishermen from our former joint country, so we can serve you best. Frozen is with us only ice cream and it is home-made.

My husband and I are not the people who could afford dining in such kind of restaurants, butsince we had wedding anniversary, we decided to visit it. The restaurant has very good location, big parking place and it is classy and elegant in every sense. We ordered 5 course- tasting menu. The first 3 courses didn´t impress us specialy, and we started to plan where to go after, for a propper dinner. BUT, as the courses progressed, it started to be better and better. The ingredients, the decoration, the explosion of taste in your mouth - it was realy unique. The best of best was the main course, meat (lamb & veal) were the best we ever tasted. Followed by tasty dessert and petit fours. Very professional waiter, who obviously enjoys doing his job, added to our pleasant experience. All in all, the visit here was the highlight of our holidays, it worth every cent, we would like to visit again and we can highly recommend it.

This restaurant is a hidden gem.First, you need a reservation. Your Garmin will help you to find narrow entrance to huge park near a manor house. Drive around and park at the left. Small building at the side is Galerija okusov. Just enter and leave your time to the waiters and cooks. They know to offer nice, tasty food and drinks. You will get a rainbow of different tastes. Try to find place in the room at the left. Main room with vaults is little noisy when all the tables are occupied. Entrance hall needs some refreshment – new furniture.

It was a beautiful culinary journey for Valentine's Day. The food was top notch along with the wine accompaniment, the staff was friendly, and the ambiance and the atmosphere were very pleasant. The sympathetic awkwardness of the young girl who was serving us speaks to the positive spirit of the team building in the company.
I recommend you give them a visit.

Over the last years I have been to Galerija Okusov several times for business and family occasions. I love slow food and food made with love and taste and presentation is important, moreover the experience must be satisfying. I come to eat and not to taste….so the tittle tasting menu is worrying. The food was excellent and taste very well however after several hours dining I went home hungry and this is a no go for me.

Bread was one of the seven courses however should have accompanied every dish. The ice cream was delicious…but you get only one scoop!! Indulge me please.
As this was the second time I left the restaurant being disappointed I will not visit again.

Another great culinary experience. After the COVID-19 closing, they came back even stronger. New menus, refreshed team, but at leaste the same performance as it was.

We visited Galerija okusov on Restaurant week, autumn edition. It was my second time visiting them. Very warm welcoming at the house door. Food was prepared differently and served with a story. Staff who served us, was very kind and helpful, If we need them. I have only one minus. I ordered one liter of tap water instead of a bottled one (0,75l for 3€) and they billed it 1€. Otherwise the whole food experience was good. All four courses were very delicious. Maybe only the dessert was not really good. Cauliflower icecream hm, not for me or maybe in other combination with chocolat, I don't know. :) Otherwise, enjoy like we did.

We had lunch in the garden, and it was very special. The waiters were very knowledgeable and attentive. The food was wonderful, with surprising (locally sourced) combinations. The only thing we could have done wihtout was the generic music that came from a laptop positioned behind a tree. The birds and chatter of guests would have been enough for us.

A lovely experience with very pleasant personnel. The food was local, very tasty and with intersting flavour. Everything was accompanied with a nice selection of domestic and foreign wines. 10/10!

The place itself, a part of a beautiful Baroc castle Novo Celje is awesome.
The food the owner and his joung cheff are serving is for me one of the best in Slovenija.

We made a reservation during the week for dinner time. Location in the castle and near beautiful park is absolutly wonderful. First we were amazed by wine selections which can be seen in the wine fridges. We were offered 5/7 or 9 dishes of a seasonal menu. We choose 5 and till the end we were served 8 increadible plates. The food was presented better by chefs who came to our table, than by the waiter who was a little bit confused and hard to understand. The plates were recognised by all of us, because they were hand made by Bojana Križanec and were just another added value to the food. There was no wine list to make slection easier and the waiter was not much helpfull with offering different wines. We choose a french bottle of Sancerre and waited very long time for serving because the wine was not cooled. Anyway the food was excellente and we had a great culinary experience. We payed 300€ for 4 people, 5 course menu, 2 bottles of wine and 4 glasses of sparking wine. Higly recommended....will go there again.

This is hidden jewel of great cuisine. Beautiful place, great and professional service, food looks and tastes AMAZING. I have been here many times before 03/2019, I also had my wedding meal here. When you already think that they can’t get better... no, they simply blown you away with new ideas, new representations of food and everything is just so tasteful. Wine collection is vivid - so many bottles of slovenian and other european wines.
