We had been staying nearby all week and decided to come here on our last night. It was the friendliest pub we’d visited all week and the food was excellent and very good value . Wish we’d visited earlier in the week. A place not...to be missed .More

The exterior isn't much to look at but don't be fooled! The food was plentiful and very tasty, the service excellent and the price very good.
Took the opportunity to eat here as it was across the road from the caledonian railway. Very friendly staff, not very busy, but it was late afternoon. Food was cooked well and very filling
Fantastic food, I’ve had two carry out meals from this pub/restaurant and on Monday night I had the pleasure of dining here with friends, the food and service was excellent, this place really is well worth the visit or go for the carry out option,...you will not be disappointed and I will definitely be back.More
Friendly, welcoming staff in attractive bar surroundings. Wide variety on the menu - 3 of us had 2 courses each (all different) and none of us was disappointed. Great ale on tap, and very reasonable prices.
Some of the best pub grub I have had in a long time. The food was outstanding, even better value for money. I stay in cowdenbeath and I would travel there just for lunch😂😂 really really good.
The outside of the Caledonian could probably do with a lick of paint, but don’t let that put you off. Once inside, it’s clean, comfy and the service is as welcoming and helpful as it gets. The food is exactly as one would expect a...pub grub menu to look, but it’s cooked well, is tasty and is good value. Where the Caledonian really excels, though, is the vegan menu. It’s no more fancy than the standard menu, but is well thought out and executed. Moreover, I challenge you to find anywhere else within at least 50 miles that offers meat eaters and vegans alike at least three starter/main/pud choices each. A far cry from “onion rings” meaning somewhere has “vegan choices”, this is somewhere that genuinely treats diverse dietary needs as normal.More
Went here for a family meal. The food was fantastic, the menu catered for everyone. The staff could not do more for us. We will definitely be back
Excellent freshly cooked food. Friendly helpful staff. Always delighted with quality and service! Great value
Just prior to Angus heading to tier 3 we decided to head back to the Caley for an evening meal. Main course mid week for £7.50 was great value and plenty of choice too. Food was lovely, great staff in a pleasant and safe atmosphere,...we will be back when tier 2 returns😀😀More
Just had a lovely meal here highly recommend the haggis fritters. Safe environment and will definitely be back soon
Me and my friends were out for a bite to eat for dinner and 3 of us had the fish and ended up with sickness after a few hours of eating. The other member of the group did not have the fish and was fine....Can not fault customer service as everyone was friendly.More
Brilliant vegan menu. Well lit, spacious and homely. Wasn’t busy the lunchtime that we were in. The vegan options take a bit longer to cook, for them, but there are board games and literature to browse whilst waiting.
We had the Festive Menu which was £20.00 per head for a two course meal. Really nicely prepared, the turkey was beautiful, we will return in the near future. Good ambiance in the pub with rustic decor, staff were efficient and very friendly.
Went for dinner one Sunday evening and had a lovely couple of roast beef dinners with fresh veg and served piping hot by attentive staff. Would advise anyone to go there.
