Previous review I was in shop slush puppies were given as order was in process of getting prepared and put on counter but assistant released there was a item not ready for order , assistant lifted slush cups and put them in freezer while waiting for item , to keep them frozen , as I saw assistant take them from... We went here for two fish suppers and a sausage supper,when paying for it I said to pour the two slush puppies when the suppers were ready...not so-they poured them straight away and 10mins later when we got our food the slushpups were just juice, We too wont be back if the staff cant listen to the customer Do they... went on a groupon deal, the fish and chips were ok, but nothing special, the groupon deal didnt turn out so cheap after we were charged a ridiculous £4.40!!!!!!!!!!!!, for 2 tins of diet pepsi, what a rip off!! Will never go back there again.

Came here for chips to take away. Service was really slow, staff seemed unorganised. Not enough salt and vinegar. Chips were gritty and not enough sauce was put on it was very dry bun. Probably won't be back again.

My friends and I were on our way to stone haven when we stopped at brechin and found the Ashvale fish and chips resturant we had the best fish and chips and loads of tea the staff we're AMAZING it was a brilliant stop off.Thanks I will be back

Just finished the worst takeaway me and my wife have ever had!! The fish was cold and black, the cheeseburger had salad that should have been thrown out a week ago by the look of it and the haggis was disgusting, the chips to be fair we're alright but found our selfs throwing everything in the bin, very disappointed, the... Credit where it is due - went here last Sunday for a carry out and the quality was A1 Shame about the atmosphere though. Not sure what's going on behind the counter but a wee smile and a bit of banter/conversation with customers wouldn't go amiss. It is all part of the mix

Went Here for the first time yesterday and it will be the last time, Service was slow food was terrible and well over priced. North Easts No1 my a--e If you want a decent chippy and value for money go to Strathmore Forfar.
