When the time comes that you need to entertain a friend who needs a halal or kosher cuisine, look no further than The Prophet. It's a no frills eatery and the food is reliably authentic. Free Lebanese bread is supplied and it goes well with a dip based on smoked eggplant. The staff are most helpful. May I suggest you... More

We really wanted to like this place but wasn't too impressed. The baba ganoush was way too smokey. The spinach lady fingers sounded better than it tasted. One person liked the chicken livers. The chicken shish tawook was tasty and a decent portion. BYO which was a bonus.

We have been going to eat at this Lebanese cafe periodically over some time(years). Visited again on a recent mid week night. Nothing appears to have changed, a good thing. The menu, food & service remain very good, especially those home made Falafels, & the authentic flavours of the region. This busy little cafe, still only takes cash, and is... More

This place is very hard to get into & I now see why. The food is EXCELLENT. Very understated and unassuming the food surpasses all expectations. Well worth the wait.

We are visiting family in Perth and a cousin booked us in for dinner at The Prophet. We had no idea what we were in for, but it was a great choice and we all thoroughly enjoyed ourselves! We had lots of mixed platters, falafels and ladies fingers along with garlic chicken. We pooled all the food and shared it... More

We really enjoyed our dinner here. We'd been to other good Middle Eastern restaurants but we thought the flavours in these dishes were fantastic- everything felt very well marinated. We had the meat and vegetarian platters and a couple of other mains. All were excellent. We also had the falafel which was superb - the flavours were fantastic - very... More

Very fresh, good honest Lebanese food served with enthusiasm. It's a busy, fairly noisy, buzzing cafe style restaurant with a friendly atmosphere. The menu is extensive with plenty of vegetarian options.

While the dips, Tabbouleh and vegetable dishes were just OK The falafel tasted like a packet mix and the mains very ordinary And chips and salad with the mains is not authentic and should be an optional side If that's the best Lebanese in Perth I'll wait til I'm next in Elizabeth Street Surry Hills for the best Lebanese in... This was my second time eating Lebonese food. 1st time it was in Singapore and a poor experience so did not try it again. Friends of mine chose this restaurant and said it was an institution and IT IS!! It is very nondescript From the outside and inside but packed with no empty tables! Good variety of selections, generous portions... More
