We visited this restaurant for supper last night on the spur of the moment. It is difficult to find reliable food outside luxury hotels and we just wanted some local food. When we stopped in the car park we were a bit wary as it was on the side of a busy road. But as the waitress led us to... More

Stopped for lunch - the place was empty and the table we were shown to was grubby with a view of the next door backyard. Menus grubby and stained. Delicious bread and pickles followed by a disgusting plate of "grilled lamb" - maybe goat? Inedible, tough, bones, gristle and fat. I ate the rice …. For South Africans with our... More

this is a miniature vistoria falls, beautiful location, if you love nature and to explore a bit take the gravel road between the sugarcane fields and visit that waterfall. If you are a good swimmer you can enjoy swimming in that fresh water under the waterfalls or even do a picnic there, ITS FREE..

Nice local restaurant with river view. The lobster and the chicken curry were top. Dont miss the nice fresh fruit juice.

Friendly staff. Food was bit bland. Had a few problems with insects and frogs including lizards. Worth a try. But was ok in general. Decently priced.

We were in the area, got hungry and away we went looking for a nice place … from outside it was ok, inside was ok, then we went out to where water was running, forest welcomes you and a balcony with all natures elements singing in your ears! Devine! Food was great, had a curry cooked CREOLE. Delicious, afterwards, just... More

This is a marvellous waterfall. So many films have been shooted there. Clear water, good for swimming, could also take a jump from the top if you got the guts. The only downside of it, is the road amenities - no tar road, only pebbles

We ate out a lot on our trip to Mauritius and this was one of our favourite places for traditional Mauritian food. The menu is lovely and the seating area next to the river is fantastic. Highly recommended! This place actually has two difference listings on Tripadvisor - it is actually called 'Le Rochester'.
