This is a beautiful restaurant in a nice setting. We had the full course set dinner and the quality ranged from good to excellent. The effort in quality, preparation and presentation was obvious and we thoroughly enjoyed some dishes. The timing of service was a bit slow as we had to wait as long as 30 mins for the next... More

Outstanding experience, from the reservation, super friendly, the super original mocktail on the terrasse with view on the sunset over the vines. Focused on local products and wines, they even grow their own vegetables and herbs. Splendid food with perfect wine pairing. The sommelier is particularly knowledgeable and can provide great advice. Out of the pairing wines, we have had... More

A beautiful restaurant & we reckon we'll worth dressing up for! The food was sensational, & a fabulous wine selection to match.... Their New Years Eve menu is well worth going for & they make it a real occassion....

An excellent example of chef hat quality. Menu, service and food. A stand out in every category. As a personal touch, they were good enough to personally deliver a bottle of wine we did not finish to our hotel the following morning. The star of the show would have to have been the Citrus cured King fish.

We have dined in Michelin Star restaurants all over the world. Eaten meals prepared by master chefs including Pierre Gagnaire; Joel Robuchon; Jamie Oliver; Luke Magnan; Neil Perry; and many others. Tonight we had the pleasure of enjoying our second experience in 8 years at the Appellation Restaurant at The Louise in the Barossa Valley. The only word to fully... More

Dined at Appellation with 5 friends. Between us we had a spread of the menu across all courses and all were excellent and beautifully presented. The pork belly was the best I have ever tasted! And the service was pleasant and efficient.

Cold Tomato soup with prawns was stunning, pork belly was crunchy and melt in the mouth, beef tender and tasty. I ordered the beautiful tasting lemon dessert, tasted the chocolate and wished I had room for that as well. Front of house staff were efficient, friendly and well informed. As I said yummy.

A very nice fine dining restaurant that has a great atmosphere, amazing cocktails and the best wine pairing and menu available (in our opinion). The food was fresh, creative and extremely well executed. The pine pairing was well thought out and the staff were extremely knowledgeable with both the produce on the plate as well as the wine that was... More

We arrived at Appellation for dinner after having secured a booking at 8pm and were shown inside for pre-dinner drinks. Beautiful decor inside and out especially the path leading to the entrance. The four course menu looked promising enough with a good selection which were all slightly larger than entree size. We ordered a slow cooked pork belly, venison carpaccio... More

Both enjoyed fabulous burgers made from stunning local ingredients. I had the Hutton Vale pulled lamb and Husband had local Angus Beef, cooked to perfection. All washed down with a Spinifex Pinot Noir, the Chefs clearly care about their food to get such a basic staple so outstandingly brilliant. Will be back!

Just one hour from Adelaide and set atop a gentle hill, Appellation at The Louise is highly regarded as one of Australia's finest restaurants led by chef Ryan Edwards.
