The Tea Soba and Green Tea Flot are delicious.
Beautiful location for a lazy Saturday afternoon on a nice side-trip from Kyoto.

It is a restaurant and souvenir shop. Great tea and reasonable price.
You can also rent a bike in this cafe to roam around the tea town. They also post the local bus schedule in the store.

We started our day from Kyoto. From the main station you have to take the Nara Line to Kizo St. From there you go on to Kamo. There, you have to take the west exit to get to Bus line 66 to Wazuka. We asked the driver to tell us when to get off. The bus takes about 20 min and costs 480 yen.
At the cafe we tasted the delicious local Sen Cha tea. The waitress was super friendly and tried her best in english. For 1000 yen per person we could then rent e-bikes to go through the tea hills of Wazuka. The cafe provides maps with bike/walking trails. We could see a lot of beautiful tea farms as well as wild monkeys! We definitely recommend a day trip to Wazuka and a visit to the Wazuka Cafe, where you can also buy all kinds of different green teas from the area.
