We were 6, although two were added at the last minute (and this was coped with graciously). The highlight (even for a vegetarian) was the carvery. At £8.95 this was tremendous value, some people thinking it was a competition to see how much food you...More

Consistently good food, well served. The rooms/hotel part is also good, and given the paucity of good quality/value stopovers in the area it is one to remember, altho it does get booked up so check/book first! Parking onsite/outside, and only a couple of hundred yards...More

Food was lovely. Had sausage and mash followed by sticky toffee pudding and it was superb. Would definitely recommend. We ate there as we stayed there and would go that again.

I was happy enough with my meal but my husband was disappointed with the steak and ale pie which he sensed had been hanging around a while; the pasty was soggy, and the chips had been refried too many times. I noticed the cheers from...More

As ever we respect all of our reviews. The steak and ale is freshly made by our chefs, we have consciously developed a way of making sure the pastry is crispy yet moist around the sides and base with the fresh meat and gravy inside....More

This is a wonderful little pub in this delightful village. I was extremely impressed by the service. Every single person we encountered was attentive and efficient. When I rose at the end of the meal to go the bathroom the waitress realised and followed me...More

We ate there for my birthday, really good atmosphere, friendly helpful staff, good cooking, good menu. Starters were really good, prawn cocktail not deluged with sauce, mushrooms in garlic sauce lovely. My steak was more rare than I ordered but such a nice cut of...More

Thank you very much for your review, really pleased you had a good time. We were serving home made onion rings which I personally preferred, there were mix reactions from customers, may look at it again though as I agree with you.

We arrived late ( after 8pm) without a booking. After checking with the kitchen we were found a table, which we appreciated. The restaurant was very busy with a party in as well. The food was a bit slow but the waitress apologised and said...More

Quite hard in Snowdonia to find dog friendly pubs. Went here for dinner. Place was nice but the food wasn't the pub. Perhaps good for a beer instead
