Open from around 4pm last autumn and I’d recommend going around that time of the day for an early evening meal if you don’t like places when they’re too busy. Since 2007, I’ve eaten here at least once every time I come to Milos, which...is 2-3 times per year. What I come here for are the mussel, clam, and prawn saganaki dishes (shellfish cooked in tomato with feta cheese), as well as calamari, octopus, and anchovies. Red mullet and sardines are rather good too. I go fishing myself, so I've never tried any of their game fish, but they're always beautifully presented and deboned in front of guests who make noises such as "Ooooooooh maaaai Gaaaaad". Today (October 2020) we had a late luncheon consisting of anchovies, steamed mussels, clam saganaki and fried calamari with beets. Every restaurant in Pollonia does something slightly different with their anchovies. Armenaki do a nice chick pea cumbo (see photo), which is quite filling, so I wouldn’t get one all to yourself. The steamed mussels are served with a portion of crispy mini-fries (see photo) – fun for kids as they don’t usually eat mussels. The saganaki dishes are excellent with one of the wines that Antonious will recommend. I usually go for a full bottle of one of the many Moschifilero’s from Armenaki’s wine cellar, which also sells wine to take away and saves you a trip all the way to the supermarkets or off-sales in Adamas. By the time the calamari or octopus dish arrives, it’s time for another bottle. I love Moschifilero, me! Once the place starts to get busy around 7-8pm I usually head home or just crash-out on the beach.More

We had a lovely meal, great Greek wine selection- the manager was fantastic at recommending a bottle for us. Great selection of unusual fish - we thoroughly enjoyed the amberjack and grouper.

While it is obviously a tourist restaurant, they definitely try. I did not expect much from the fish (Red Snapper) - but as positively surprised. The octopussy for my wife was so - so, but I never expect much from an octopussy on grill. All...in all we did not regret the decission.More

Fish was fresh and rather nice. However overall we did not feel at ease nor welcome. With smile and simplicity in the service we might have enjoy our diner but it was not the case. The place and concept is lacking modesty. So all in...all it does not worth the price. Or maybe it was not just the right evening!More

We’ve just returned from a week in Pollonia and ate our evening meals at Armenaki. The food is excellent - delicious fresh fish and seafood - the staff friendly and efficient and Adonis leads his team with his usual good humour and vast knowledge of...Greek wines. Recommend without hesitation.More

Antonio is the most knowledgeable about wines that you could find on the island/and not only he will introduce you to the Greek winesbecoming au pair with all the great European wines. Food is great too actually in Pollonia every restaurant has a fifferent menu...so you cannot compare. We are repeat customers un Armenaki for the last 11 years. Great service too.More

Decided to mix up our day with the Greek wine tasting experience. We elected to go for 2 white, 2 rose and 2 red all washed down with a lovely plate of meats and cheese. The owner was very knowledgeable and passionate about the wines...which made for a fantastic experience and one we could not recommend high enough!More

Despite being recommended by LP and hotel hosts, we found the restaurant overpriced and the food tasteless and badly cooked.
