We arrived at 7pm, the time my Aunt had reserved a table for 5, to be told, rudely, that the restaurant did not in fact open until 7.30. The manageress just glared at us and did not offer us anywhere to sit, or drinks while we waited, I had to suggest we sat in the lounge, where they ignored us... More

We have been coming here for about ten years with our friends who moved to France about 14 years ago. The service is provided by the 80 year old proprietor and an elderly waitress. We have never been disappointed in either the food or the service. English is spoken but if an attempt to speak French is made then it... More

Surprised my first and only experience here as a local was not good. The service was not hospitable, the food was well over priced and totally dated, it reminded me of the sketch from Julia Walters where she was waiting on tables ! I had heard good reports regarding this restaurant however my experience was not !

Very traditional French restaurant, with some interesting options on the menu (unlike most other restaurants in the area!)

I have been eating here for several years, and absolutely love its predictability. It is quintessentially French Provincial cooking at its most straightforward. Delicious, well prepared, served with care and always good. I cannot fault the service, food or ambiance, although the background music can be a touch perplexing; I will return each time I am in the area for... More

Very good value with a distinctly French feel an atmosphere. Has not always a relaxed feeling, but the food is excellent value

A party of 6 of us went here one evening at the end of June. We sat outside next to the river as it was a beautiful evening. There was 5 adults and 1 child. Most of us chose the 4 course menu, which I believe was just over 20 Euros each. The child's 3 course was 8 Euros and... More

Had a recent very good lunch. Breaded veal cutlet, steak au poivre with excellent sauce, salade nicoise, and a creme brule type dessert and cheese plate (she brings over a selection and you take as you wish). Nice bottle of local vin blanc. Total for 4 was 73 euros. Great service and atmosphere.

We have been traipsing all over France for 7 weeks now, and happened on this hotel/restaurant today. It is wonderful. I note that previous reviewers refer to "Old France" when reviewing this restaurant. Since we were not fortunate enough to experience Old France, I am so happy that we got a taste today. After 40+ dinners so far in France,... More

We were driven here by a friend as we had never been during our time in Quillan. We were greeted with a firm "Au rlevoir" by the lady who sat us. %-) Our friend encouraged us to have the lunch menu (usually a sensible choice at a French restaurant). My entree tasted as if it were mainly out of cans.... More
