I was on a day tour of the area since I live in Orillia, Ontario since Feb./20 from moving from the GTHA. This place was highly recommended by a local that has a summer house since they live just north of the GTA. It is right on the water and gets a lot of business of boaters from the local marina. Seating both in and outside. I was seated bar to get faster table service in since I waited in a short line outside. I spoke to the owner as he wanted a pub atmosphere since he is from the UK as he married Canadian girl. Typical pub grub at reasonable prices. Lots of UK people here as he is into UK soccer. Sweaters on the ceiling. Portions were small but it made sense as a had a entry meal just prior to what one would have with a main meal. Great atmosphere along with the customer service. My tip reflected the great service as well as the owner appears to care about his staff. Food was good as well.

My husband and I visited the restaurant for a lunch time as a break from biking. The food was excellent, a daily special and a butternut squash soup. The service, very pleasant, made us feel special. We were lucky with the georgeaus weather on Sunday Nov 8, sunny, 20 deg C and enjoyed the lunch on a patio with a beautiful view on the bay. We will be definitely back there when biking again in the area.

We recently moved into the area and were pleasantly surprised with Queen’s Quay. Located on the waterfront, there’s plenty of people and boat watching. Our server was excellent, the specials of the day were unique with a noodle curry Thai bowl which was delicious. Drink menu is very good with house specials such as the snake bite or the badger, be careful with these! Thanks for the great meals!

We had been looking forward to trying the pub for a few weeks. We stopped in today for a light snack in the early afternoon. My husband ordered a Guinness, I ordered a small glass of wine, and we shared an appetizer of Yorkshire Puddings and a side order of fries. I cut into my first Yorkshire Pudding, and came up with a giant hair - about 8 inches long, curly, blondish and fine. We called the waitress, told her my food had a giant hair and showed her - she immediately said "Yes it does, I will get you another". She did seem genuinely embarrassed, however did not offer an apology. I ordered another small glass of wine, while we waited for our replacement order. When it arrived, on my second bite I found a clear plastic triangle about an inch long and wide, underneath my Yorkshire. We again notified the waitress. She recognized it and said immediately said "thats the tip of the piping bag" (from the mashed potato). She apologized this time, and we asked to speak to the Manager. One of the kitchen staff came to our table and apologized, saying they were understaffed and tired, because its the long weekend. She said the Yorkshires would be removed from our bill. I asked "Is that all?" as I was a bit surprised this was all that was offered up, given this had happened twice in the same meal. She then asked "What do you want?" We both said "Just the bill". Honestly, the situation was embarrassing enough, but it should not be up to us to tell them how to make this right. Eventually the waitress came back and told us the bill was taken care of, and apologized again. I left the rest of my wine. We were offered a gift certificate, but we told them we would not be coming back. Guys - you HAVE to do better than this. 😟

We ordered 1lb of wings each and a sweet potato poutine each ... with tax and tip this somehow cost me $92!!!!!!!!!! Just to reiterate, 2 lbs of wings and 2 sweet potato poutines were just shy of $100 how do you justify this!?!? I’ve eaten at five star restaurants on the Las Vegas strip for more reasonable than this.. Portions were average to small at best and the quality was maybe 3/10.. The potatoes were soggy, very little cheese curd and the wings were terribly dry. Figure it out.

I visited the restaurant back in October and although the food was great - server etiquette was subpar at best. My server was Vanessa (I believe that was her name). She seemed to be in her mid to late forties - She approached our table 10 minutes after we got there, forgot about our drinks and approached our table almost constantly while we were eating asking if we wanted our bill 5 times while we were very evidently still eating our food.

We were staying in the area and decided to try out a lunch place for our anniversary. Bring November, a lot of places were already closed for the season or just not open on a Monday. We found this place by chance and no regrets. We had the fish and chips and fish tacos, both excellent with good fries. It was lovely that their patio was still open as it was an unusual warm day for November so being able to eat outside in November made it extra special (especially during this pandemic). Our waiter learned that it was our anniversary and brought us a complimentary desert, what a nice superpose! He had only been on the job a few days, but was already providing excellent service, came back to the table often enough to make sure all was ok or take additional drink orders. Overall a great place and will go back if we are in the area again.

Had a horrible run in with a server who clearly has no customer service experience. Placed a order at 8pm with the owner who is kind and a great business man. How ever when My partner picked up my order the staff stated “here’s the chef favourite guy, your lucky there’s no extra spit in your food”. My partner paid for the order with shock. When he returned and I heard about this incident I called the owner right away where of course the server denied. For me this is a huge turn off and threat that I will not be dinning at this establishment ever again. I do want to say the owner is a great business man just needs better staff that are the face of his restaurant.

We used to love coming here. Enjoy boating in and frequented many times over the years especially last year. We have thoroughly enjoyed every visit. However, today we took our daughters for dinner and not sure what’s going on but definitely going down hill. No Bangers and Mash No Greek Salad No Nachos No Daily Specials No Sangria Bottles or by the glass Low on Draft beer selection No Ice Cream no sorbet for drink we wanted. No Mint for Mojitos Limited staff that seemed overworked and overwhelmed. THANKFULLY Mika was as wonderful as ever! Hopefully they get their act together ASAP!!

I understand that the business is very busy with the new Stage 2 opening. The greeter was less than pleasant when asked a simple question. Never again... within walking distance and I would rather eat shi$$ty hotdogs than deal with this clown again. At the end of the day respect those that serve. #neverever

Looked great and others who arrived before us looked happy, but they told us they closed the kitchen early as it was a bit slow. Covid policies have created a vicious circle of problems. That said, if we all think a little outside the box, we can make this better rather than worse. ie maybe at least keep a few simple offerings available to honour your posted hours, and rather than turn people away.

Server wasn't wearing her face mask properly - her nose was out of her mask, which I really didn't appreciate. Also, (I can't really complain about the other customers, because you get who you get... but), I witnessed one of the other customers use the men's washroom, not wash his hands, then proceed to touch the bathroom doorknob and other doorknobs throughout the establishment. I couldn't believe it, especially because of the ongoing pandemic. I think the restaurant could do a better job of having hand sanitizing stations at each table, or really stressing the importance of hygiene to the customers... also, the server should be wearing her mask properly, this goes without saying. We had the fish & chips & beer - which were all good. I appreciated the atmosphere outside - nice view of the marina.

I usually enjoy my meals at The Queen's Quay Pub, but was treated very rude today by a server. I understand that they are short staffed, but that is not an excuse to be rude. I often recommend the pub to friends traveling in the area but won't be doing that or going back any time soon.
