Was looking forward to Begonia's cooking on this 5th Camino. Alas! It was closed for refurbishment and Begonia was away but Antonio gave me a welcome that made up for it all. This has always been an absolute MUST for me on the Camino. I...would advise you to go with the majority and avoid the few 'souls' who have found this place unacceptable. Good luck in the current challenging environment.More

Don’t be put off by the name (translates as Sports Bar) - this place has a lovely atmosphere and a superb Pilgrim’s menu. The salad was tasty and healthy and all food and wines were delicious (great white Rioja).

This is a good place to sit outside and have a beverage and something small to eat. I believe they also have meals inside but I haven’t seen the area. Service is a bit slow but the owner loves his bar!!We’ve been here several different...timesMore

we ended up staying in Navarette for the weekend. unlike Marie Clare we had some great meals here over the weekend having two lunches and two dinners. The Tapas (all around a euro) were fresh and replaced by the chefs on a constant basis. The...dinner Menu and delivery was on par with some Michelin star restaurants I have eaten in, also great value Every waiter can have a bad day like anyone in any walk of life, and if a spilled glass of wine was the worst thing that happened to you on your holiday well lucky you. Dont be so harsh on people, You never know what is going on in their lives.More

Nice tapas and nice location Hase two excellent wines. Would go again. The elderly gentleman behind the counter was very nice, his serving girl was obviously in a bad mood.

I found this restaurant quite by chance. The tapas were exquisite and the pilgrim menu was the best on the entire Camino. Loved it so much we came back again the following year. It did not disappoint second time round.

A lovely local Spanish restaurant in a traditional and authentic Village 1-2 hours from Bilbao. Traditional tapas, snacks, paella and more served by local residents. Enough English and Spanish dialect to get by and surrounded by many small hostels and hotels for walkers and cyclists....Recommended to drop in on your way around Northern Spain.More

This is our favorite tapas bar on the Camino. Begonia and Antonio put on a fantastic spread of tapas and also have delicious paella at times. Begonia is a very gracious hostess. The bar is in the plaza right next to the Church of Santa...Maria de la Asunción. It’s a great place to hang out and meet other pilgrims who are walking the Camino. PS: The cerveza is great:).More

We stayed in Navarrete and ate lunch and dinner here. The food was good and we enjoyed the setting and outdoor seating. We can recommend the salad and pintxos.

The worst food ever, reheated bad tapas combined with the most incompetent waitress who barely said sorry for knocking over a glass of red wine made this the worst dining experience of the holiday.

It is close on tuesday. The opening hours depend of the season. In winter they normally are since 12:30 to 23:00.
