Attentive and friendly service, and using all local ingredients. Food was nice but a bit below expectations. The daily dish of local rabbit was tasty. Good selection of local and Greek wines including some rare vintages.

We were visiting five Greek Islands with some American friends and Santorini was our first island. Just before we left for the holiday both of us had wedding anniversaries and decided to wait until we were on Santorini to celebrate. Our American friends discovered Selene so we prebooked before we arrived to celebrate our combined wedding anniversaries at this upmarket... More

This fancy restaurant has a nice view, a beautiful interior design and an artsy touch to it. Their menu features a lot of interesting dishes that you won't find in your average taverna. But who cares: this is Santorini, a destination for the young, the beautiful and hopefully rich. Ah, yes, prices. This isn't an outrageously expensive place but it... More

Environment and setting was nice but somehow it was a bit noisy due to the proximity to the road and you could hear the cars passing by. Waiters were attentive and trying to explain all the details and ingredients used for each dish. Food was of small portion while display was fancy. Flavour seemed overly complicated for any single dish.

Very fine good food and non pretentious. Good service and staff are outstanding . Had the Seascape for starter and the Pigeon . It was so tasty. The texture of try pigeon was perfect. Oh not the forget the lemon dessert I had . Out of this world . 😋😋😋

The food and service were outstanding. Everything on the menu looked amazing. This was one of the best meals in Santorini. The ride to the restaurant from Fira offered amazing views and we had to stop for a sunset.

We ordered a green salad which included melon, figs and ham but a Santorini salad was delivered. It was wonderful and we sadly sent it back. It was willingly replaced with apologies. Was on a tour which included a climb to the castle. Pleased to miss that for the Selene experience.

How refreshing - the menu is small but super interesting. We ordered different dishes and basically you can not go wrong - all dishes are very nice. The wine list is long but the sommelier is doing a great job. The view from the putside terrace is bery nice.

Fodor's travel guide recommended Selene and boy did it exceed our expectations! It was more than a nice diner it was a true culinary experience. From the romantic and tranquil ambience due to the breath taking views of the Aegean Sea all the way to the presentation and passion the staff puts into each dish. The dishes are recognizable on... My husband and I had a great time cooking with local ingredients and enjoying our work afterward. The staff weren't letting us get any where near the hot stuff, but were very patient with knife skills and technique. Lunch was amazing. Highly recommend, both for the cooking classes and for the cuisine,

Thank Karin F

'Selene' restaurant was established in 1986 in Fira, Santorini by Yiorgos and Evelyn Hatziyannakis. Our aim was from the very start, to show and promote the local products along with the local cuisine hoping that this will enable us to transmit to our guests a taste of the island's culture. The success that we have had all those years not only within Greece but also worldwide, has encouraged us to continue with cooking lessons, catering for weddings and conferences and various gastronomical events.

Since 2010 'Selene' restaurant has moved location from Fira to Pyrgos. Pyrgos is one of the most beautiful and well-preserved villages of Santorini built around a medieval castle located in one of the highest points of the island offering magnificent views. What is mostly important for us however is that Pyrgos village, and the restaurant's location especially, lies next to the famous vineyards and the valuable farmland of Santorini.
