So as a non fish eater it may seem strange to be going to Verveine but at first I went a s treat for hubby who lives fish. When we booked we explained I was a non fish eater and they asked what I would like and prepared anything I wanted for me with some notice. This is a delightful... More

My friend and I went for lunch today and chose the A la carte menu.. it was absolutely superb! My husband and I have been several times before for lunch but haven't been for sometime and realised just how much I missed it. It's not just a meal... oh no it's a truly wonderful culinary experience and will not leave... More

Lunch for two last Friday. We had the tasting menu, six courses for £29, which was great value with a glass of decent white rioja. Each course was beautifully presented and served, with a short explanation but no flimsy flam! We felt decently full by the end of the meal, but not over stuffed. Given that it was their first... We went on a Saturday evening for my husband's birthday just after they reopened from the post Christmas closure. Everything was excellent, service, atmosphere and most especially the fascinating food. A novel amuse bouche, unusual breads, amazing main course and delightful puddings. The wine was also excellent. We particularly liked the carrots but I was not so keen on the... More

Most people go for their taster menus, which are superb. Everyone on the same table has to go for the same menu choice though. They start at around £45 (excluding wine) for 4 courses and the numbers go up from there. (Normal A la carte is available, by the way.) You can also have those courses to include wine pairing,... Great food and great atmosphere. It was my 33 birthday and what a lovely special place to spend it. Would recommend to anyone to try the tasting menu. It puts the food in the chefs hands. Great experience

We were staying in a top hotel in Lymington and found the food to be rather rich so after a little investigation found this jewel. Absolutely delicious meal, fresh fish cooked to perfection. Comparable to Scotts in London if not better. Lovely service from a professional team, open kitchen which showed utter dedication and professionalism. Not to be missed.

We visited this restaurant a couple of months ago on a recommendation from a friend. To enter the restaurant, you have to walk past their own fish mongers in the front of the shop and are then seated in a small yet comfortable dining area hidden in the back. We opted for a 5 course meal with the optional wine... More
