We had a great visit to this pub today. The location is perfect, the garden is lovely. There is a great over flow car park which came in handy for us as we were towing a trailer. The garden has some lovely play equipment for children. The staff were lovely, polite and very welcoming and the food was fantastic. There... More

We had several meals at this pub, when six members of our family were staying at a nearby hotel for a few days. The weather was good and our young granddaughter enjoyed playing in the garden/playground,whilst the adults were able to supervise her and still enjoy the drinks and food. The Sunday roast was good in both quality and price.... More

Chose to eat here when staying in the area one night before our cruise from Southampton. Meal was reasonably priced, well cooked and presented.

My partner unhid this perfect summers day luncheon spot on our way back from a camping trip in swanage. We arrived just after midday and it was the best time as the car park soon filled up with lunchtime diners and even started parking in the overflow. There is a massive sunny garden and patio plenty of benches and even... More

My wife and I love this pub for a homely feel. A lovely warm welcome by the staff and in the winter a toasty fire. We usually come on a Sunday when we can't be bothered to cook. The roast dinners here are delicious, they'll even let you have a Yorkshire when you're not having the beef! My favourite is... More

A late lunch almost turned into an early dinner. Terrible service with a wait of over an hour for main courses. When it arrived the food wasn't worth waiting for. The desert menu looked tempting but by that time we just wanted to get out of the place

As ever a very warm welcome in this great pub. Staff always friendly and always a great range of real ales - we even managed to persuade our Belgian friend to try the Hampshire Rose. Keep it up Sorrel and team !

It's been a few years since I've been here and what a delight it was. The sun was shining and the outside tables looked so inviting. We chose from the lunchtime menu which is reasonably priced and has a good choice from starters to snacks and something for larger appetites. We had fish finger sandwiches whilst our friend opted for... More

Stopped here on way to Dorset, by recommendation. Liked it so much we called in again on way back. Excellent location. Great pub atmosphere inside, with added bonus of sitting on patio or in garden on lovely sunny days. We had delicious meals on both occasions and would definitely recommend.
