First time here. Service was second to none and a good laugh to boot... food is home-made and you can tell!!! really enjoyed the atmosphere with the group I was with. I agreed to do the washing-up, but NOT the drying. On the serious side, we were a group of four ladies and one bloke (me). I can honestly say,... More

Been a couple of times now - not a bad breakfast, but swerve all of that and just eat cake! Amazing variety and all (that I have tried so far...) have been lush! Try the warm pecan pie with a scoop or vanilla ice cream. Yum!

Visited this excellent little tea shop when in Hoylaake and within easy walking distance of the station and the Holiday Inn in which we stayed. Lovely cakes, good coffee and bread freshly made on the premises for sandwiches etc. A gem!

We visited for lunchtime on a warm summer day. Greeted warmly as we entered and decided to sit outside as the chairs and tables were well shaded. Tables all clean, we were served promptly by our waitress who was as happy to serve and answer all questions about the menu choices. We ordered sandwiches and a drink, both teenagers went... More

I have been here before for lunch with work colleagues and always enjoyed it! I had to wait for my car to be fixed so popped in with my 8 month old son for a cup of tea and to feed him some lunch! Staff were lovely as Zach entertained the whole cafe! The clotted cream scones are amazing! And... More

We all chose a different main and each one was amazing. Then we were spoilt for choice with the cake cabinet. 2of us opted for Manchester Tart, and 2 for Apple & walnut bakewell. All absolutely amazing. We can't wait to visit again as we've decided to work our way through the menu.

Been eating here for years and it's always the same very high standard. Excellent home made food. The owner, Les, his wife and the staff are so friendly. Service is quick and the place is spotless. Can't go wrong if you want a morning coffee, lunch or afternoon tea. Try it!!

It was full when we arrived but two chairs were brought for us to sit while waiting. I had the Scouse which was superb and my wife had a generous ham and cheese sandwich on home baked bread. We were about to leave when I saw Eccles cakes. Couldn't resist. Absolutely fabulous. Both owners very friendly and recommended two other... More
