Excellent food for the Tennerfest series (2 courses@ÂŁ12 or 3 courses@ÂŁ15. Super choice and in a lovely restaurant with 'coastal theme' decor. The bar meals next door looked good too and the bar was full for the meat draw. Best of all was the staff service; the waiters/ waitresses were smart, switched on and efficient. Nothing to fault at all. Actually, one of the outstanding sunsets would have made this an 11/10 evening. and we enjoyed the bike ride along the coast. Its on the bus route too.

This is a review of the Bay itself rather than the Hotel which is after all the title of this listing. We chose to walk along the coastal path from Fort Grey all the way around to the Bay, looking for a certain dolmen, which I am pleased to say we did indeed find, the dolmen being situated just past the aforementioned restaurant for anyone who is interested. The Bay is though glorious on a good day, the wind blowing across the beach with great rollers and plenty of spray. The Bay is fringed by the remains of various old forts and a myriad of grasses and wild flowers, which enthusiasts would no doubt have fun identifying, and it makes a great walk on pretty much any sort of day!

Burger & Chips, cheese burger & Chips, Scampi & Chips, Ham Egg & Chips. Trying to sell food that would be acceptable at a beach side caff at Michelin prices. Taking the Mickey. I understand why their lunch menu isn't on their website. After leaving I found an excellent fine restaurant had two course lunch and a glass of wine for less than the cost of ham, egg and chips here.

Although the new owners have very big shoes to fill, they appear to be doing very little to try and measure up.
We as very regular locals previously have been down several times since the new owners have been there and do not even get acknowledged which is something surely any new landlord would want to get aqauinted to the regulars.
They are just not gelling with the locals.
Just wait till the visitor's go back

Great value pub food which is often frequented by older folk but great for all ages.
A favourite for fresh fish and the real home made burger

There were 6 in our party all out for dinner only. After booking our table for an end of holiday meal we waited a long time to order as only one chef was on duty even though all tables were occupied.
After this wait we then waited yet again for some time only to end up with 5 bad meals out of 6. The pasta was cold the fish was part raw (fish and chips) and all three medium/ medium rare steaks were well done!!
If your under staffed and can't take the bookings don't waste our time, yours, or my money!!

A lovely little bay with a slipway and sea wall. If you want total peace and quiet head for Perelle Bay.I first stayed here as a child in 1972 with Tomato growers in a delightful farmhouse and have never forgotten Perelle Bay! It is the kind of place that sticks in your mind. There is a delightful Guernsey knitwear shop there too.

We are renting down the road for three months and are always on the look out for a pub/restaurant that we can walk to. We popped in for a drink and the staff while pleasant did not speak English very well. They did let us bring in our dog which was nice as he is quiet and just curls up under the table. The menu was extensive and the prices looked good but were weren't eating that day. We decided that we might come back however the lights were those mini - ultra bright track lighting which literally blind you. The place is too light and we both left after getting a headache. You literally could not position yourself to escape it. I mentioned it to the staff as a suggestion but they just shrugged their shoulders. To be fair I have travelled all over Eastern Europe and the customer service has improved greatly over the past 20 years but is still light years from our standards. The Management need to train their folks in customer service and ensure that adequate English is spoken in order to execute orders.

Dropped in for a drink and was made fun of by the barmaid and a couple sat at the bar, very inhospitable certainly wouldn't go there again and this seems to be the trend for most of the establishments we visited during our short stay in Guernsey

Have been a few time and good food and pleasant staff, went this week and turned away by staff when went to sit at a table as it was reserved. Understandable but no reserved sign on table, asked if anywhere else and told no room all booked. Friend attempted to get a drink at same time but staff too busy talking to each other to notice them
As we left noticed empty tables, a shame as a good place to eat but staff show lack of customer service at the moment. Hoping next visit will be better
