Stopped by for brunch 2 weeks ago as hadn't been here for brunch before. Couldn't fault the order, the service nor the chef skills ~ see snaps. Order was for steak & eggs with side of sautéed mushrooms. All awesome. Possibly too much oil on shrooms but for £1.50 totally added to our return list. Sooooo... 2 weeks later returned... More

We came here for lunch on a Tuesday and were made to feel very welcome. Although the menu seemed rather limited we did enjoy our meals which were very well presented. We sat in the bar area to eat, where the atmosphere was very relaxed.

From the drinks on entry, the food, the grounds and the way everything was setup and run - absolutely first class in everything. Fantastic venue and highly recommended, they certainly know how to please A great big fat well done... More

A snap decision for Sunday lunch which turned out to be a very good choice. The was beautifully prepared and presented. The staff very attentive, and knowlegable about the menue and wine list (a very pleasant surprise). For a restaurant with a 4 star rating very reasonably priced. Well worth the effort of going out for a meal, and the... More

I last ate here 18 months ago and was really pleased to find out that the place is still very well managed. The staff were all so welcoming and attentive. The food was spectacularly good. We had salmon Wellington - superbly cooked with mouth-watering pastry. A real jewel - hats off to the high level of excellence and professionalism set... More

Stayed for 3 nights with my wife and found this to be the perfect location for getting around the island. The room was outstanding as were the staff.

Despite pre-ordering all courses and paying upfront for 7.30 event - we didn't get our starters until 10 past 9 and were very hungry by then. The bar didn't have the first sparkling wine we requested from the wine list which forced us to pay for a more expensive one - they then ran out of Verve Clicquot after 1... More

Stayed in this boutique hotel with my husband and greatly enjoyed a very peaceful time. The staff were particularly friendly and helpful. The hotel is really pleasant and the rooms beautifully presented. Everything works! My only dislike was the road: traffic started at 7am or so since Specsavers are very close and their staff seem keen to get to work.... More

Thank you for taking the time to comment on your recent stay with us. We are pleased you had a pleasant experience and we will ensure to note that you would prefer to stay in a rear facing room on your next stay so the only sounds you should hear are the Guernsey cows! Kind regards Ann-Marie More

Description
Food is at the heart of The Farmhouse, with award-winning cuisine served throughout the day in a choice of areas. The bar and lounge are popular throughout the year for coffee and casual dining, whilst our restaurant provides an ambient setting complete with an open log fire. 'The Courtyard' is large, light and airy, spilling out onto the poolside terrace where you can dine al fresco in summer overlooking our mature gardens and the surrounding countryside with a variety of mouth-watering menus. A choice of private dining rooms is also available as well as two gazebos for informal gatherings looking to wine and dine outdoors.

We combine British and Continental cuisine with the odd dish from further afield to create diverse and imaginative menus that incorporate organic and Fairtrade products wherever possible. Our aim is to cater for all palates, from fine dining to something a little less formal, so forget all your preconceptions about hotel restaurants. It's about the food, the drinks, the company and maybe just occasionally 'one too many' on a school night.
