Tried to setup a reservation but they were full...good sign! We ended up going a day later than we wanted and we have nothing negative to say! It's off the beaten path which means it wont be a tourist trap. Pricing very reasonable, for our...group of 5 it was about $157 euros and everyone got entrees and a drink. Sea bass was excellent, 3 of us got it, and apparently the chicken, as all as the pasta dish was great. Pumpkin soup was amazing. Overall great experience. Food came out timely, not too slow and not too fast. Just enough to have a great experience! Place was packed! Thanks again!More

Thalhof never disappoints. We went again recently with family and we're greeted at the door, our coats were taken and hanged and we were seen to our wonderfully laid table. The menu is local and interesting, the wine list exciting. The chef is a great...cook and the waiting staff very attentive and well schooled. Highly recommended.More

We made a call one hour before arriving and already in phone excellent welcome. Arrived and we were expected - family of 6 person and a small dog - everyone was welcome. A lot of opportunity in the menu card and very acceptable price level....The food was of high quality and nice made on the plate. During the dinner was there full attention from the personal and as well the owner of the restaurant asked if everything was okay. We can strongly recommend this, but book in advance.More

Great night out! Warm welcome, pleasant environment, wonderful, informed and friendly service! Menu was varied but not extensive, the food was well presented and perfectly cooked! We drank the prosecco and wine by the glass, all were very drinkable! The beer options were a little...lacking! Highly recommended! Many thanks to Klaus, Elisabeth & staff!More

We arrived on spec and were welcomed in to this lovely restaurant. Good food and friendly and efficient staff. Varied choices and lighter fare than most similar restaurants in the village

Very surprising, warm welcome especially from the Slovak Lady. Good interior, I would say even elegant and very tasty food. Prices a bit higher then average, but the restaurant was not average at all...😉

We ended up in Thalhof by accident in the last evening on our trip to the Alps. The restaurant totally saved the almost lost reputation of the Austrian kitchen. Both the service and the food was really good! The menu was diverse yet local. The...serving had beautiful display and the food was tasty. I had the best chantarelle risotto ever! It was also nice to see that the children were taken into special attention and we felt warmly welcome. We’d love to come back.More

Thx to the Thalhof for making the last holiday dinner so great. A very lovely and authentic interier and what a super service with smiles all the way. And even thou its a cousine menu, they also had some low key meals for the kids...(Ages 10 and 4). We (the adults) had a superior creamy an tasty risotto and the angus steak was medium rare to perfektion. A sure 5 star. Price for the whole family, beverages included, 82 euros.More

I came here with 3 of my friends for dinner. No problems with the reservation. Very friendly Lady. The wife if the Owner. We got a very nice table for 4, The Chef was here. And he welcomed us in Person. The waitress was very...proffesionell. Very well informed about the food and the wines. Dinner was all in proper timing and the food was outstanding, quality wise and taste wise. And the atmosphere in the restaurant had been very nice. Not loud and we could feel. That the other diners where enjoying it too. When in Brixen im Thale, we now where we have to go the next time. Thank you for a very pleasant dinner. All the best for the Brixen Thalhof TeamMore

This is without doubt one of the best restaurants in the region. Lovely mixture of Austrian and Italian cuisine. The dishes (tuna tartar with wasabi mayonaise, shrimps with avocado, tagliatelle with gorgonzala, duck breast and veal with 'speck' and soft sheep cheese) we had, were...delicious. Predominantly Austrian wines on the wine menu. We drank a Riesling from Wachau and a Zweigelt from Weingut Kerschbaum. Very friendly staff. We had a great evening.More

We go frequently when we're in town and it's by far the best cuisine. The menu is limited but excellent. They always have a good selection of fish dishes as well, not just meat and traditional Austrian. Excellent wine list. Impeccable, friendly and actually very...helpful service.More
