I sat in a very comfortable chair and ordered a beer and some sandwiches, when they came they looked and tasted delicious. the atmosphere was fantastic everyone joining in chatting to each other. altogether... Saturday night booking - 8pm sitting in the restaurant. There are bars at the pub as well as the restaurant. You definitely need to book. We phoned and got a cancellation. This is a popular location and when the school's break it will be very busy. Parking can be a challenge so you need to be patient and considerate and... More

Had Sunday dinner for 4, 2 lamb, 2 beef and 1 each without gravy, staff were pleasant, friendly attentive and got the order right. one of the yorkshire puds was a little cold, so that went back with no trouble. Plenty of veg, peas, carrots, cabbage and swede mash. I'm really fussy about my veg and hate anything overcooked. This... More

Lovely location on village green in quite remote village on Gower Peninsula. Great selection of beers; rustic atmosphere; couple of dining rooms + bar. We ate lunch outside on the green - busy bank holiday so service was a bit slow but we were pre-warned. Mixes pub standards with interesting local dishes - cockles and laverbread for example. Very friendly.

We booked a table for bank holiday Sunday. The building was nicely decorated. Large selection on the menu and specials menu. Food was great and reasonably priced. The place was really busy and the service was good. Well worth a visit if you are in the area.

The reviews looked promising but the reality was far from it. The menu was extensive and looked interesting. My husband ordered beef pie which was tasteless and I had lamb cutlets which were tough and the accompanying vegetables were soggy! Having waited an hour for our mains We didn't risk dessert! Won't be going back and wouldn't recommend a visit.

We didn't book and turned up quite early for Sunday lunch. Even so all areas were full but we were invited to wait at a table in the hall. Pretty quickly a table in the bar came up right next to the fire. It wasn't the warmest day but when the staff kept coming back to throw more logs on... More

Had the private function room for an end of season dinner with 50 people, brilliant venue with a lovely beer garden behind the function room. Food was lovely and the staff very friendly. A brilliant choice for special occasions.

Booked a table on Easter Monday for 8 of us, luckily got a table as a very busy restaurant. Service was very efficient by our main 'mature' waitress but some of the younger serving staff looked as though they'd rather be somewhere else. Our waitress was experienced, knowledgeable and did the restaurant proud! Great choice of dishes, I had prawns... More
