Came here with a friend as we were passing through the town, we weren't expecting food of such a high standard based on the prices but everything was absolutely delicious!

Checked into a local hotel. Our room wasn't ready so we popped in here for lunch. The location is lovely. We sat outside, next to the river. It was lovely, so peaceful. The staff were lovely, very polite and friendly. The service was excellent. The food was lovely, maybe a little pricey but we don't know pricing in this area... More

We stopped off for a drink and thought about having lunch. The lady who served us was polite and helpful. We had our drinks and sat to look at the menu. To me it felt the prices were a little too high for the general pub food on offer. It may have been amazing, I am sure the food is... More

My daughter and I met up for lunch at The Alyn. I must admit I hadn't visited this riverside pub in quite a while and was pleasantly surprised when I walked into the busy restaurant . There is a very extensive menu with extra dishes on a blackboard. The meals we chose were very nicely presented and tasty, but the... More

My wife and I and our two grandsons visited the Alyn on Saturday 2nd July, 2016. When we arrived it was very busy and we were advised there would be a wait of about 30 minutes, which we accepted. We much later ordered our meals (I ordered from the Gluten Free Menu). Altogether we had waited over an hour and... More

Whilst we maybe didn't have the best things on the menu (we're both on cutting diets and it was cheat day - it's allowed), the food was piping hot, very nicely presented, the staff were attentive especially the guy from the southern hemisphere (not going to pick Aussie or Kiwi so as not to offend). All in all a nice... More

Went to The Alyn to enjoy the sunshine by the river and some snacks. I've rated Average only because the dessert dragged the visit up from Poor. The location, right by the river, is as lovely as ever. The tables by the river are great, if you can figure how which doors are open to get out there. "Down there... More

Myself and a colleague came for lunch on our break in work, it was a nice day so we sat outside and got ourself menus. We tried to call someone over to order who said 'ermmm I think you have to order at the bar', when getting to the bar there was a queue of about 25 people all in... More

Description
Nestled on the banks of the River Alyn in the pretty village of Rossett North Wales, The Alyn Riverside Country Pub offers excellent food and boasts a unique riverside setting...Combined with a warm and friendly welcome, The Alyn is much more than the average village pub. We have recently welcomed abroad a new award winning head chef and we are very keen to show off his talent. We are now working even harder to produce the best locally sourced, home cooked food possible.
