We popped in for an early dinner on a Sunday evening. All I can say is that the food was outstanding and the service attentive and timely without feeling rushed. The scalop and crackling starter is possibly the best we have ever tasted and I wish I knew how they baked their bread - superb.

We visited this week on a lovely sunny day, we sat in the garden and ordered food. The menu was great and the food was delicious! Huge portions and very yummy, a very pretty little village pub. We all said we wanted to move, so this could be our local!

We were a party of 5 booked for dinner and the pub quiz night following. The place was quite busy, but service was attentive and quick. The thatched roof and original wall built in 1367 were amazing to see. I enjoyed the bread that was set down before the meal, and my sausage and mash was terrific. I had no... More

The staff were friendly, but had mislaid our booking. We were lucky to get a table. Food was good, although far too many average vegetables all mixed together, so you had to pick out the ones you liked. We had to prompt staff a couple of times for service. The pub is clean and pretty and popular. However you do... More

We were a party of four that visited The Kings Head for lunch. We placed our orders, which included the cod mornay for myself and the warm chicken and bacon salad for my wife. The food was very average, spoiled in the main by so obviously having been heated in the microwave. Now, normally I am reticent about making a... More

Ok popped in on a Sunday afternoon for a bite to eat, the weather was nice so we decided to eat outside, so can't really comment on the facilities as the beer garden was all we really used and we had a nice afternoon there. The food was good, the staff were friendly

Having visited some ropey pubs in Lincolnshire, it was very pleasant to locate this quaint establishment, nestling in pretty Tealby. Staff were charming, the menu acceptable and food ok-nothing more. Portions were almost too ample and this rather deterred us from eating. Seating here was "tight" and unfortunately we had a conversational "stereo" effect, from the bores on our left... More
