Big group of us for a celebration lunch. They had reserved a table for us in an alcove which was really nice. Service was very slow but the staff kept us informed and were lovely. Food was very nice and beautifully served with large dishes of fresh veg etc. So much nicer than cooking and washing up for a crowd.

This charming country pub is less than 4 miles off the M5, so much better than the services! I had the asparagus risotto, and a pint of Doom Bar. It was very tasty, and the service was friendly. My daughters had pizza (properly stone baked), and pasta. They really enjoyed their meals. Highly recommended.

My daughter and I had dinner at the priory last night and I'm sorry to say it was a bit of a disappointment, I really like this pub, the staff are always friendly and the atmosphere good, and the beer is good too. My daughter had a pork burger with chips -which she said was just average, and I had... More

Have used this pub to meet up with my wife's parents on the way back from Devon, a few times. Lovely atmosphere (various tables and nooks and crannies) and a very good menu plus specials on offer. Food has always been constantly good and the service really excellent. The staff are very helpful, polite and willing. Would use it far... More

Not my first visit and definitely not my last. I am amazed how they manage to maintain their standards in this age of greed. My only complaint is (as a driver) that you cannot have a soft drink in a pint glass, when questioned about this, I never get an answer other than "that's the way it is" .

Really nice food, couldn't fault the service and the selection of beer, lager and cider was great. The ham egg and chips was a right belly buster!

Daughter and partner paid a visit so we headed to the Priory as my previous visit had been very good. Not disappointed as it was just as good - excellent beef & mushroom pie and veg for 2, chicken for another and haddock fishcakes for the other. All were polished off to the last morsel so a good sign indeed.... More

Varied menu, generous portions, pleasant atmosphere, helpful staff ... all at a fair price. Despite size, feels fairly cosy. 15 min from Bristol Suspension Bridge en route to Portishead. Would recommend ... but book first.

I met my friends for a catch up and thought that the food and the service were outstanding! The reasonably priced "posh pub grub" menu went down very well with all of my friends - we all cleaned out plates for every course! Our waiter was kind enough to keep my meal in the kitchen to stay warm as he... More
