Lunch with my husband and parents was ruined by grumpy staff and sub standard food. My husband a I ordered burger and chips. I've seen better quality burgers in Iceland and probably only had 10% real beef. They were supposed to come with triple fried chips but were soggy ex-frozen chips probably also from Iceland. There was nothing fresh about... More

Wet Tuesday night, place was packed, luckily had a reservation. Waitress warned there might be a delay but it wasn't too bad. Good menu with daily specials. Burger was particularly good, Service was fine especially considering how busy it was.

We had a great lunch. Burger - top notch, really quality meat with very flavoursome cheese and the most delicious thick cut melt in the mouth bacon. Sea bass risotto - creamy and delicious with perfectly cooked fish. The interior of the pub is decorated really nicely and its a lovely atmosphere. We sat in the back garden and the... More

Went for dinner on a Saturday evening. The food and service were both excellent, good steak, pies and a reasonable menu including a few children's options. They offer a three course menu for £20. Well kept Butcombe Bitter. A good country pub near the motorway (exit at Gordano Services).

We meet up with family here on a regular basis it is so good. We use it mainly for special occasions Birthdays Anniverseries Sunday Lunches. Quite an extensive menu reasonably priced. Suitable for couples Family groups or if you are eating alone. Advisable to book if group of 6 people or more. Large car park.

Heading down to Devon, we checked out The Priory off the M5 and glad we did - nice place in a quiet location - part of a chain of pubs with similar menu to the local ones near where we live - however, this had a lovely atmosphere and friendly staff which added to the visit! We only had a... More

Just spent a great, sunny afternoon, celebrating my birthday, in the pretty garden of The Priory. My son and I had a v pleasant meal and a few drinks, warm, friendly service, we had a bit of a wait [ we were warned beforehand} not that we minded, it gave us a chance to relax and have a catch up.... Went for early evening meal with two work colleagues and we all had burgers. Service was slow. My burger was barely warm and undercooked. New menu seems to have been dumbed down in choice and hiked in price, quality doesn't seem to be what it used to be on previous visits. Have they changed hands? One thing for sure i... More
