Heading down to Devon, we checked out The Priory off the M5 and glad we did - nice place in a quiet location - part of a chain of pubs with similar menu to the local ones near where we live - however, this had a lovely atmosphere and friendly staff which added to the visit! We only had a... More

Just spent a great, sunny afternoon, celebrating my birthday, in the pretty garden of The Priory. My son and I had a v pleasant meal and a few drinks, warm, friendly service, we had a bit of a wait [ we were warned beforehand} not that we minded, it gave us a chance to relax and have a catch up.... Went for early evening meal with two work colleagues and we all had burgers. Service was slow. My burger was barely warm and undercooked. New menu seems to have been dumbed down in choice and hiked in price, quality doesn't seem to be what it used to be on previous visits. Have they changed hands? One thing for sure i... More

Tried this place for quick business lunch. Service and welcome was great, as was help with questions about food etc. New menu introduced which looks good and I tried sandwich lunch which was okay without being startling. I will however try again as the place does have great potential, and staff deserve another chance. Pleasant environment though despite being so... More

Spur of the moment stop coming back from Bristol airport with family. Spent a pleasant evening in the garden. Food, drinks and service all very good. Nice venue, will return again.

Called in for a Saturday lunch on way home from bristol airport. Found the pub in a very sorry state, lots of empty tables but none had been cleared. Picked a table and ordered, expected someone to come and clear table so after 15mins asked barman for someone to do it. He actually done it himself, obviously very under staffed... More

We booked for an early meal. The starter came quite quickly and was tasty. We then waited over an hour for our main courses. They were OK, but the wait was unacceptable. The staff were pleasant.

Just had lunch here. About average pub lunch. Nothing special enough to draw me back I'm afraid. Had such high hopes. Had heard that this be worth a visit but after our Saturday lunch I was disappointed. It wasn't terrible by any stretch of the imagination but it didn't inspire at all. A pretty dull menu with novice on the... More

We have visited this resturant in the past and received reasonable food and good service. On the last occasion the service was unacceptably slow and the food below the level previously expierenced. Some of the menu was no longer available, a pot of tea was served but was undrinkable and there was a suspicion that the triple cut chips may... More

We went for an early tea so we could get home and get my child to bed at a decent hour. The restaurant wasn't that busy. We had a very long wait between the starter and main course. Then mine and my daughters meals arrived. Her peas were cold, my chips were cold. My steak was dry. My partners meal... More
