Having brief stopover on return trip from West Sussex. Found excellent B & B and they had menu in room guide. Only few minutes walk across the road- looked inviting from outside and inside warm and welcoming. They have extensive menu and evening specials Mon- Thursday as well as Friday special too. Really good value for superb home cooked food,... More

Lovely hotel, old fashioned rooms are quirky and cosy. Food was great for breakfast too. The worst thing about this hotel is a lady called Flic who works there - she is very rude (she took a bottle of water away from an elderly member of our group accusing her of having alcohol in the bottle with no compassion). She... More

Thankyou for your comments. I am disappointed your Grand Mother was challenged. Sometimes in the Licensing Trade we are frustrated by Customers habits. That is not to defend the manner in which the elderly lady may have been spoken to . But, and it is a massive But. When it has been established at a function that invited Guests are... More

We had a lovely room overlooking the back of the car park with views to fields and the hotels gardens which were in full Autumn colour. Our room was big with free standing furniture and a wall mounted tv - it was clean and fresh. However, the mattress on the bed was awful - it was like something out of... More

Thankyou for your comments. I would hope on your return we acquit ourselves better thus encouraging you to stay again and again. The tweeks you make reference to are easily improved but we do rely on Reception giving more information on arrival. My apologies. More

We had a night at northover manor, we had a 50th Birthday party. Party very good and buffet very good. Our room was very tired. And the bed was very uncomfortable we had to lay on top of the duvet because the springs of mattress was popping through. The shower wasn't very good could do with a descale the water... More

Unfortunately the restaurant was closed (Sunday evening), but we still enjoyed our stay. The room was comfortable with a good ensuite with a full bath (important for us). Friendly and helpful proprietor. Excellent breakfast.

We went there for a function and it is a beautiful venue in the new 'barn' The walls have a film star theme which flows through the spotless toilets but that is the best bit. We tried to get a drink in the bar attached to the venue room but no beer, Tetleys tap empty so I asked and barmaid... More

A family Sunday Lunch with the family was enjoyed in a relaxed atmosphere. Both the food and the service were of the highest quality. The menu included a delicious roast but also had good options for the vegetarians, all for a reasonable price. I have read some of the bad reviews that have been posted and it is hard to... More

Positives - clean restaurant, good atmosphere and most of the food was really good, however the service needs a bit of work I feel. Ordering drinks - nightmare as not enough staff working at the bar. Paying the bill - even bigger nightmare. Took over 20 mins to pay the bill and one member of staff was very unhelpful to... More
