We visited for lunch with two children and four adults, had a wonderful meal in a lovely dining room (white tablecloths and chandeliers) with brilliant service at a very reasonable price of about £100 including drinks and (well deserved) tip. We shall go there again. The bonus is that it is on the Thornham Walks site with extensive walks and... More

We have been here just for afternoon on a previous occasion after a walk on the estate, but this time we were here to celebrate a special wedding anniversary of some good friends. The venue has a lovely marquee erected onto the side of the coach house for special occasions. The food was excellent. It was imaginatively prepared and served.... More

We went here for a birthday Sunday lunch and had an absolutely great time. Good food, good service and a good time was had by all! The roast dinner was superb - a really great tasting piece of beef and lovely vegetables to accompany. None of us could manage three courses but we had starters and desserts between us with... More

Found this place while visiting some of the "100 churches". What a find! It is a long and winding lane down to the coach house, but well worth it. A very reasonably priced lunch menu, with choices which change with the season. Really enjoyed the stroganoff and the chocolate brownie. The setting is super, accessible and nicely decorated. Staff friendly... More

By chance we come across the Thornham Coach House deep in the woods. A Little Gem. A very cordial welcome from Louise despite the fact that her and colleagues were setting up for a wedding in a lovely room just to the left of the cafe. Lots of character to the establishment with those delightful uneven cobble floors. The selection... More

My daughter and her now husband had their wedding here on 11 June 16. From start to finish the help and advise was wonderful. The venue offers an intimate setting in wonderful surroundings and the food was outstanding and praised by all. I would like to thank Louise, her family and staff for making it such a wonderful occasion.

This was our second visit for Sunday lunch and we thoroughly enjoyed both visits. The menu is a two courses for £14.95 or three for £17.95 and there are about 4 choices of starter and dessert. The mains are either a fish dish or two choices of roast and these are served with both sweet and roast potatoes and proper,... More

We went for a family lunch and had a great time. This was our first time and we were surprised at the quality and value of the food. The restaurant is in an old stables attached to an old estate making a walk after lunch almost obligatory. You do need a map to find it, though it is well signposted... More

We had never been to a dessert evening before so we weren't sure exactly what to expect, but we were very impressed with the service and the menu and had a very enjoyable time. The team at Thornham had clearly taken a lot of care over their planning for the evening. All the diners were served each course at the... More
