Enjoys a meal out in the garden in the sun shine. Bar staff very friendly although I was a little taken back by a female member of staff who jumped in during a conversation we were having with the young male member of staff.. It gave you the feeling she was more interested in telling you what you could and... More

We had a table booked for 5pm. Unfortunately the restaurant was very busy. We were squashed into a small space. Set menu only available. Told that a couple had been sold out. Which was disappointing. However the food that we had was lovely. Side dishes of vegetables for all on the table. Dessert were lovely. Children's meals are large. Unfortunately... More

After a walk along the Stratford and Grand Union canals through beautiful countryside and in warming sunshine we visited the Navigation in for a light lunch. We sat in the garden by the canal which was very pleasant. The pint of Mad Goose bitter went down nicely. Unfortunately the service let down the overall experience. My companion did not receive... Having decided against joining the long Mothering Sunday queue for the cafe at Packwood House we were highly dubious that we'd have any greater luck at the local pubs but the Navigation staff came up trumps, finding a table near the fire to warm us up, chairs instead of the stools provided, and menus and drinks in short order, despite... Nice pub and restaurant, welcoming and friendly. First impressions, you walk through a snug room, filled with locals, and their four legged friends. So you think cosy!! But then we were led out to the newly refurbished dining area, great decor light and fresh. I like a place where you don't need your mobile torch light to look at the... More

We visited here as a group of friends. The welcome and service was very friendly and attentive. The restaurant was very brightly lit. Unfortunately the food was a let down. I had fish cakes for the starter and they were totally tasteless, some basic seasoning would have been good. The main course of pork wasn't very good either, which was... More

A impromptu visit having been on a narrow boat on the canal led to a pleasant evening. The staff were great -positive informed helpful and pleasant - particularly Margaret! The service punctilious. It was top of the range pub grub. We had a great evening. Thanks to all involved

We have quite often popped into the Navigation for a drink on our way home at the weekends. This was the first time in several years that we decided to eat whilst there. We were really impressed by the food. It was fresh, hot, well presented and served in good time for hungry guests. The Navigation Ale is also to... More

Visited midweek lunchtime and got amazing service. On placing a drinks order at the bar we were asked if we wanted to eat and if so a tab could be set up. We were given a choice to eat in the bar or restraunt and selected the later. Even though the bar area was busy and our location empty we... More

We decided to take our grandchild for breakfast on a Saturday morning. We all chose a Full English. We had Tea and Coffee with toast as a typical breakfast, it was simply wonderfull. All meals were cooked as requested for eggs, bacon and toast as some of our party are very precise on how they like it cooked. Total sucess... More
