You will not be disappointed when you eat at the lion Inn. Great choice of food, very large portions and a lot of the food is really home-made. Brilliant place to eat as you take in the North Yorkshire Moors scenery.

The wide selection on the menu will allow even the pickiest eater to select something to eat. The food is of the finest quality, and the selection of ales, beers and spirits are second to none,

Arriving early in the evening at our B and B in Hutton le Hole we were directed here by our hosts as being one of the few places locally to get a meal on a Sunday evening. We were initially worried by the packed car park but The Lion has the tardis-like quaility of being a lot larger inside than... More

The setting is beautiful, the interior traditional and welcoming, the food is good, the ale is excellent and the prices are good.... But the service was extremely slow and the seating arrangements were such that it felt as if at every table was there was business meeting. This was due to the size of the tables (too large), which tended to... More

Had both evening meal and also breakfast at the Lion Inn whilst doing the C2C walk. Evening meal was OK but could have been better with small serving and not much accompaniment.Breakfast on the other hand was very tasty and up to the standard that we had come to expect whilst doing the walk. Service in the evening was average... More
