Really great strawberry cake made with fresh local strawberries from Valldal. Worth a stop if you’re driving between Valldal and Trollstigen. There’s outdoor seating too if weather permits.

Cosy location. But, that`s all. After waiting for 45 minutes we got served cold food, stale bread and ketchup from McDonalds(!) with expiry date 2 days later. Only three tables were occupied, so we just wonder how they manage when the place is crowded? I...hope for this place`s sake this was a one time thing and that absolutely all staff had a bad bad day. This is not how to run a place. First and last time.More
On our drive up to Trollstigen, we were looking for the famous Strawberry Cafe, even New York travel agents recommend it ! Great selection.
There is excellent accommodation in a great geographic location for the beautiful scenery around the area. There is a very warm and friendly atmosphere. The food is excellent. The Baclava was the best I’ve tasted and the strawberry cake is world famous. People drive here...for the cake and having eaten a piece I’m not surprised!!More
We only stopped for coffee and all things strawberry in this restaurant. Their homemade strawberry cake was amazing! It was soft, fluffy, with whipped cream layers and delicious strawberry jam. And th strawberries in this region are to die for! Must try if you are...passing by.More
We popped in rather late, so they were about to close soon. However, they offered us a delicious meal with bacalao and a strawberry desert. Very good quality, regional ingredients, decent prices, and a super friendly service! Highly recommended!
We stopped in for a slice of their strawberry cake. It is a delicious sponge cake with strawberries, cream and a strawberry puree that was so good it made me purr with every bite. My husband is not the strawberry fan and he enjoyed the...almond cake. It was a perfect stop during a long drive day. They also had a full buffet and menu that looked good, however, we only got dessert and tea. Two desserts + 1 cup of tea = $15.More
We were on our way from Trollstigen to Geiranger and had just taken the ferry to Valldal when we came across Jordbærstova ("Strawberry living-room" freely translated). We went in and asked if they had something they would recommend. The lady in the kitchen offered strawbetty...cake. Seeing that we had just driven by a number of strawberryfields and the name of the place had to do with strawberries we ordered one each. We were very satisfied - it was delicious! The strawberry jam was homemade and sweet and the cake was very, very nice with fresh strawberries and cream. Would return to eat cake there any time!More
Cozy small Norwegian restaurant. Located close by Trollstigen Road a stage of the National Tourist Route Great homemade food and friendly staff 👍
Payed 198nkr for fish that tasted like it came from a school canteen. Worst spent money ever. No nice staff
