Hany the chef patron learnt from his father. This is Lebanese food taken to another level. Nobody butchers anymore. Hany still butchers and buys the produce from the local farmers, chooses his eggs, chilli and olive oil. Hany is more than Michillin. They dont deserve...to judge or rate him. He is above them. The herb, spice and acidity balance is superb. I don't compare Alibaba to other restaurants. Its not fair. It would be insulting him. Please go and order the entire menu. Then call me.More

Amazing culinary experience - WELL DONE - came here as was recommended to by friends, honestly coming here wasn’t one to have ever tried Lebanese food, but left the restaurant with a WOW factor! Milo who served was impeccable and a shining example of how...to give optimum service. Food was perfect the lamb fillets were awesome - mix of mezzes was impressive - taboullah and variety was awesome. Am a fellow restauranteur, and being in this industry one tends to appreciate even more the effort in every little detail! WOULD DEFINITELY RECOMMEND!More

Yesterday I went with my boyfriend to this restaurant. We decided to order take away. Lamb is the best we ever try.The only thing is that they didn't have plastic cutlery and napkins for take away so it was uncomfortable because we were planning to eat...close to the seaside. Last thing, bread is not included for take away, you pay apart.I think for the price you pay the dishes it should be included. Anyway really good food.More

Attentive and smooth service, which made the 4 of us feel welcomed. We went in for quite a few Mezzes and every single one of them tasted like perfection! Most importantly they have really taken care of all the details to make the guests feel...safe and cozy, which is really important at this time. Thank you Ali Baba!!! We will be coming back soon!More

Absolutely a dining delight! The best Falafel I have ever had!! The dishes were so fresh and exciting. The short rib was also quite delicious. We had and orange soaked honey cake for dessert which was such a good way to end an outstanding meal.

While I have to admit that the food is full of flavour and well presented, and the service is attentive and efficient, I can't say that I was impressed by my visit. First of all, I was given a time slot of a couple of...hours, and you can almost hear the clock ticking as the end of the time slot approaches. I dislike deadlines when I'm relaxing, and especially when I am paying up market prices ! Secondly, the waiters are all too formal and try too hard to be faultless. They resemble a group of army trainees who are on an assignment to wait on people in the restaurant. Thirdly, the choice for vegetarians consists of dips, falafel balls, mini pastries and soup - tasty, but hardly outstanding cuisine ! Although some effort has gone into improving the presentation of the food, I expected more creativity, given the description in the menu, and the accompanying prices. A word of warning about the wines - the lowest priced Lebanese wine sets you back € 30 a bottle. Overall, I found Ali Baba too pretentious and over-priced. The Turkish takeaways in the vicinity give much better value for money at a fraction of the cost, as long as you're not looking for 'fine dining' !More

Lovely, up market, Libanees restaurant. Delicious food, extensive menu, very helpful and attentive staff. They are fully booked nearly all the time, so, if possible, make your reservations well in advance. It is absolutely worth it!

The food is delicious and some dishes are quite unique. The restaurant is becoming increasingly popular and they run a tight schedule. I understand their reasons, but I'd prefer to eat without keeping an eye on my watch. Next time I'll go for the last...sitting.More

I don't think the restaurant has a dress code but their Maltese customers may have. Maltese folk expect people to behave accordingly and I think that casual during the day and smart casual in the evening would be... More
