I'd heard about the restaurant in the Amber Fort, and felt it would be a lovely way to finish our time in Jaipur. It was quite expensive, however again, I thought was going to be a special and romantic meal. We were so disappointed. Firstly we were the only people in the restaurant, so there was very little atmosphere. We... More

Undercooked worthless food. Went there with family, and ordered Lal Maas hoping it's a Rajasthani delicacy. Was surprised to find it almost raw. Asked the staff to cook it properly, to which they replied that it's like this only. Hated it. Please don't go.

We visited this restaurant while our visit to Amer fort. We thought will take lunch here nd then will continue to visit other forts. But seems this restaurant don't want to serve our own Indian & were more attentive to foreigners. We entered, no one to attend - fine, we sat - no one still coming & greeting even -... More

I spent over $100 USD on a dinner for two and we could have eaten better Indian food for $12 at a food cart back home. The place was empty, it bordered on awkward. Only one other table in main seating area was filled the entire time. The appetizers were lukewarm, which is concerning when you want to eat piping... More

We Went to this restaurant a few days back and had a truly awesome experience, the hospitality and service is topclass. The food quality can be termed as awesome authentic rajasthani food, the meat dishes were very good and so were the vegetables given to us in the thali, the thali is every penny worth. All in all a great... More

Best thing about this restaurant is that you don't have to wait too much for having you lunch. You place your order and have it in a few minutes. Best for everyone visiting this area.

The kebab platter was scrumptious. Live music by two young musicians while dining in royal surroundings. Clean bathroom with royal looking sink and fittings.

After the long walk around the beautiful palace of Amer we stopped for lunch at 1135 AD and that was the best idea ever! The ambiance of the restaurant immediately made us feel royal. The wonderful history on the walls made the dining experience even more special. The food was beyond compare and was the best meal I had in... More

Description
A Fine Dining Experience'Rajputana' now known as Rajasthan was the land of many princely states which includes Jaipur . 1135 AD derives its name from the year in which the Kacchawaha clan founded the dynasty. The royal cooks worked in the palaces and kept their recipes to themselves. Some recipes were passed on to their descendants and the rest were passed on as skills to the chefs. Our chef takes anectodes from the royal cooks and brings forth the true culinary valour of the 'Rajput Kingdom'. The restaurant is divided into many sections. The Shahi Aangan, is centrally located and is open to the sky. The Swarna Mahal is the main restaurant and the Diwan E Khas is the boardroom for business meetings. The Sheesh Mahal is for private dining, entirely from silver and gold, it dazzles with royal, old-world charm. Flickering candles bring alive an era gone by.Rajput valour, glory and grandeur- this is the essence of 1135 AD, Amber.
