We were in Los Organos doing a whale watching tour. A lady recommended this restaurant for their food and their cleanliness. We took a moto taxi they are from the docs which cost three Soles ($1). It is a small little place not luxurious at...all. Sat outside at a table and order the ceviche, couple of beers and a Picante de Mariscos. All of it was absolutely amazing. We were licking our fingers it was so good. It was three of us and we shared the two plates. Which was really enough. In Peru they tend to pile mounds of food on a plate. The bill was 75 soles which at the exchange rate at the time was about $23. Great place to eat. Like i said nothing fancy but really delicious.More
This place is a guilty pleasure of mine, like to sneak out of the house and head down for some fresh donuts!
We had some delicious patacones, ceviche and jalea it was the best !! Massive amount of food at a very good price, good service as well
Very nice wait staff which is quite a change since northern peru is not the most service oriented region. I can not speak for south of lima. The waitresses recs were spot on and the flavours quite different from anything I've had in my over...year and a half in peru.More
We tried picante de langostino and jalea mixta, very very good. It once of the best places to eat between Mancora and Los Organos.
We arrived in Organos after a long coach trip and idled away most of the afternoon. When hunger got the better of us we wandered to El Manglar (via a pre dinner beer stop) after reading a few glowing reviews. A man seemed to be...stacking away chairs and we feared it was closing early as seems to be the case with places in off season. But we were told we could take a seat and to order away. :-) A succulent ceviche was served up, followed by a tasty fish fillet. It was a lovely meal and we're grateful the folks running the place took the time to stay open for us. Trip advisor praise rings true on this 'unMore
One of the best ceviches and sudados in the North coast. Fresh fish and excellent taste are their strong points, very friendly service, still small location.
