Just enjoyed our final family vacation meal in New Quay and couldn't have picked a better place. Very warm welcome from the start and attentive service. Food was very good quality and reasonably priced. Two of our family chose steak and both were exceptionally good, the best steaks we have eaten for a while. Only regret is that we didn't... More

We have been on a fabulous weeks holiday in the New Quay area and decided to come here for dinner. We were a bit tentative as it seemed so quiet but don't let this fool you. The service and quality of food is excellent. My daughter after devouring her jacket potato with tuna said, thus is the best jacket I... More

My husband and I enjoyed a delicious meal. His steak was mouthwatering and my vegetarian 'Wellington' with veggie gravy was to die for. This is a lovely , relaxed, friendly, reasonably priced restaurant

The restaurant was very near our hotel so we thought we would try it. It doesn't open until 5 so we popped in and booked a table for 7.30. It is a small intimate place, family run and nicely decorated. We had the steak which was very good. We liked it so much we decided to return the next night.... More

We stayed in New Quay and was recommended the Port of Call by locals as quality, affordable home made food and that was just what we got. We were greeted by friendly, welcoming staff and the food was fantastic. We will definitely revisit this place.

Went here on the last night of our weeks holiday - Sunday night. I had the fish pie and my wife the seafood platter - both very good portions and tasty. the wine list is varied and not expensive and we had a bottle of malbec to accompany our meal. Service was excellent, we were made to feel very welcome... More

Busy little town of New Quay, most places fully booked so pop in here on the off chance. Asked for a medium rare rib eye steak and fair play it was cooked spot on. Bottle of house wine for £12 to wash it down and polite young waitress who was very helpful

We went here on the final night of our holiday and it was superb. The waitress was lovely and the food excellent. The potion sizes were great and I would definitely go there again.

Welcome to the Port of Call. I have been reliably informed that this was the 3rd house to be built in New Quay. Nestled between traditional stone built houses and shops this characterful place always offers a warm welcome. Home prepared/cooked food and fresh locally produced ingredients offer you the taste of West Wales. Take a boat trip to see the dolphins playing in the Bay or just sit and have a glass of something cold while watching the sea from our terrace.
