Absolutely delicious fish and chips! Tasty, good colour, and no soggy batter here. Good portion and reasonably priced too.

These were undoubtedly the best Fish & Chips I have ever tasted. We ended up going 3 times on our 2 week holiday. Grab some Fish & Chips and sit on the harbour wall watching dolphins

4 people for lunch. We had, from the Specials board, small cod (seemed big enough to us), chips, mushy or garden peas, bread and butter, choice of coffee or pot of tea. Excellent value at £6.50 for sit down meal. All food freshly cooked to order, and the fish was flaky in a good batter. Very efficient, friendly and attentive... More

We had really great fish and chips, and excellent value too. Highly recommended. Eat in or take away counter.

We had the lunch time special - cod, chips, mushy peas, bread and butter and a cup of tea for £6.50. I was very impressed with the portion sizes although the fish was a little watery. Very confused about the whole service side of things. We weren't sure whether we got our own cutlery. It wasn't until our tea came... More

The food in the Mariners Cafe is lovely and all cooked fresh from order. They do a fab offer of cod, chips and mushy peas with a pot of tea for about 6 quid and it's the freshest most delicious fish ever! Lovely friendly people. Ice cream sundaes also lush!

First ever visit to New Quay, gorgeous place. Drove up from Porthcawl so we were quite hungry, 6 of us went into the Mariners Cafe to have some food. We expected the usual Chippy/Cafe type food but OMG were we wrong!! Ordered food & drinks at the counter and the drinks arrived fairly quickly afterwards. Our food was served by... More

Visited on a rainy Monday during half term. It was very busy so we had to clear a table ourselves. We ordered kids meal, panini and a toasted tea cake plus drinks. Food arrived quickly and was reasonably priced (tea cake was huge but with margarine not butter) and kids portions are big too. After a while the drinks had... More

We ate here about lunchtime. Although it was busy we were served quick. There was a vast menu and they also did a specials. We all had different meals and all enjoyed it.

Had an early start from Cardiff so was quite hungry. Popped into the mariners for a big breakfast. Nice price and decent size portions. Staff are very nice, and some speak Welsh too. Will highly recommend this cafe to all my friends and family
