Excellent Restaurant

The food here is to die for and well worth a visit. The owners are very friendly and you always receive a warm welcome. Seriously I do not have words for how delicious the food and wine is. If in New Quay a meal here is a must.

Visited this restaurant and the food was very good however the 2 members of staff stood in the bar very loudly having an inappropriate conversation throughout the whole meal ruining the atmosphere and food. Won't be returning!

Restaurant full on a Saturday in January, so a great atmosphere. Food delicious but starters very much geared towards seafood. Great selection of main courses with plenty of meat options as well as local seafood. Good wine list and service excellent despite how busy it was. Fabulous view from our table in the window. We would certainly recommend and went... More

I have visited The Hungry Trout on numerous occasions in the past twelve month, and it is always a pleasure to eat here. The whole experience from the friendly and efficient staff to Tim's creative menu is a complete delight, and I would thoroughly recommend this restaurant.

Very disappointing meal, the hake was over cooked and dry arriving on a red hot plate, it took five minutes for the very boring veg to arrive so was completely ruined, my steak was supposed to be medium but was so over cooked I couldn't eat it, this was removed from the bill but I went hungry 👎 very poor,... We went here whilst staying in New Quay having been 3 years ago, and it was certainly worth the return. We chose the Table D'Hote, a set menu which was good value with plenty of choice - 2 courses £14.95, 3 courses £19.95 or the a la carte menu. On the set menu I selected the vegetarian option of vegetable... More

After enjoying an amazing meal here last summer when staying in the area, definitely had planned to return someday. This restaurant is a gem, yet again they served up amazing food, at a good price &the staff were just as professional & friendly as on our previous vist, can't wait to return again

We were in New Quay for a couple of hours and decided to try The Hungry Trout for lunch, so glad we did. Delicious Moules and chips and baked cod with garlic and shrimps, we couldn't fault the food. The service was great, a lovely restaurant in a fantastic location.
