Disinterested staff. Expensive prices for unimaginative menu. Banking their location and fondness for ice cream at seaside. Maybe should focus on ice cream parlour? Had a refurb so brought visitors to try out - more tables but that's it. No atmosphere. Poor offer all round. Wander round the corner for much better service & quality.

We love the location of this place and some great menu choices! We visit often but it's really starting to slip in some ways. Love the new extension as was always heaved and couldn't get a table - especially at weekends! Lovely decor. But I've been 3 times over the summer holidays and just feel let down. Very slow service... More

I'm really shocked to see quite few negative reviews recently. We were in last week and had delicious cakes and coffee and very good service. I'm not a regular visitor but have been a few times since it opened and have never been disappointed. The bill was quite expensive for coffee and cakes but I have to say that it... More

Went for a scone and an ice cream with the kids - took absolutely forever to have order brought over and even then we waited for a fair amount of time between each of our items brought. Shame. Wasn't even busy that day really!

I was in there today and had a baked potato ,the food took ages to arrive when it arrived the potato was tiny , when I complained he said it was the last one and there was nothing he could do about it. My sister has a salad the portion was quite small foot the price and the coffee was... More

I've seen the other recent reviews but our (four of us) experience on two visits was quite different. On Sunday morning the place was packed, and we were warned our food order would take 30mins, It arrived after about 20mins. The scrambled eggs were truly excellent, and the rest of the food very good, although the bacon butties were a... More

Stopped here for a bite to eat and it was average for the lunches. I ordered the chicken in mango chutney panini...I ate it, it was okay...but was a bit bland in my opinion. My husband got the ham and peas pudding 'stottie' which wasn't a stottie but an average bread bun - see the pictures! The coffee and Strawberry... More

Good Ice Cream badly served We sat at a table. We cleared it ourselves - like many other tables that were cluttered with previous customers' items. We waited interminably for a waitress. When she finally arrived and took the order, there was another long wait. The wrong ice cream was brought for one of the party. We were so disappointed... More

I have to say there are some redeeming qualities to be found here, a couple of the younger members of staff were great and really trying to go the extra mile with a service with a smile, however I called up here to visit some friends on a sunny day and seriously disappointed by the service given by a particular... Service abysmal. Two toasted muffins arrived. 5 minutes later 2 pots of tea. 5 minutes later cutlery. Waiter served someone else while milk and my pot of tea was on his tray.
