Simply Amazing Food

A tiny little cafe at the intersection of Jogiwara and Temple Road. Run by a Tibetan family, cooking is done by the mother, the two girls juggle between serving and handling the cash counter along with a young boy who takes orders. We found some tourists and a few locals at dinner time. We ordered vegetable and tofu thentuk and spinach cheese steamed momos. The food was simply superlative. The spinach momos were freshly made, the taste of spinach was outstanding without any additives. The home made chilli paste was not oily and tingled the taste buds. You can buy a jar of the same from the counter. It is a great take home. A must try when you are in McLeodganj.

Delightful, very welcoming

There are very few places in scenic Mcleodganj that make Indian tourists like us feel welcome and this no-frills restaurant is top of the list. The Pork Momos were the best we had-soupy, served with a piquant sauce, I really wish we could have eaten more. Unfortunately they didn't have their famous Chives Momos but what impressed us most was that the lady owner sent one of her staff to check if chives were actually available, now wouldn't you call that impressive?

Nice place. It’s a no frills

Nice place. It’s a no frills small restaurant. We had the momos chow mein and the traditional tibétain bread with some shabka. It was simple and tasty. They serve a tibetian chilli paste on the side. Extremely fiery but a must try.

Tibetan Dishes simbly!!

Norling restaurant situated near intersection of Jogiwara and temple road famous for Tibetan dishes. Run by family and no frills restaurant and simple serving. Food is reasonably price and nothing very great. Try Spinach momos.

We went to Norling the second time; the restaurant still serves the same great food

Just wow! We went to Norling the second time - after 10 years of our visit to Mcleodgunj; the restaurant still serves the same great food. The taste and quality are superb! Fruit beer is a must-have, and so is thukpa, and the mutton momo was really tasty. They also sell hand-knitted sweaters and shoes for babies. We enjoyed the chop-suey too.

Not good, not tasty . Before pandemia food was good, after pandemia better go to another place. If cook only beginners, do ask people to pay so expensive.

Very good restaurant for authentic Tibetan food. Try juicy mutton momos, Thukpa and Thentuk. Reasonably priced and delicious food.

Small but good

It's a small tibetan restaurant run by two sweet ladies. We had our first lunch here with chicken momos and Tibetian Thukpa with tofu and veggies. Very filling and tasty.

Good food, friendly host and cheap cost

Being very close to our hotel we went to this restaurant and really enjoyed our simple but tasty meal for only Rs260 for two people.This included chicken mo.os and Thukpa (huge bowl of equivalent of Japanese Ramen). Relishing meal indeed.

A Must Go If You Are a Tibetan Food Lover

Mcleod is known for its Tibetan colony and when in Mcleod, it would be a sin if you didn't try the Tibetan cuisine. And one of the famous restaurants serving Tibetan cuisine is the Norling Restaurant. I went there on my first day for lunch and trust me the food is delicious and then went there again for dinner as well. The noodles, dimsums, thukpa are a must try. even would suggest you to try out the pork dishes as well. However, there is one thing that you should keep in mind is their service. They take a lot of time to serve you (approx 30 mins). So make sure you order food when you are not in a hurry. Take time and enjoy the food.
