Restaurant "Giewont" is situated in the heart of Tatra Mountains - Kościelisko! By linking the history of local dishes prepared with French techniques, we want to stand out from not only the region in which we are located, nor Podhale itself, but the entire restaurant map of Poland. Podhale is primarily attached to tradition, that's why, we try to to guarantee our guests a real feast on their plates. All this and many more we spice up with one of the most breathtaking views facing the "sleeping knight"(Giewont). We want our guests to feel comfortable and extraordinary with us!
1 MICHELIN Star: High quality cooking, worth a stop!
Floor-to-ceiling glass windows ensure that a visit here will be accompanied by spectacular views of the eponymous mountain, which towers 1,895m above sea level. The spacious building is in total harmony with the region – an affluent area popular with skiers. An à la carte is available alongside three tasting menus (comprising classic, seasonal or vegan fare), which are the best way to sample the kitchen’s expressive, consummately seasoned dishes. Influences and produce come from both Poland (superbly cooked sirloin from Zaczyk) and France (excellent, plump asparagus).

Very delicious food, incredibly good service, every dish was explained. Price performance is unbeatable for a one star restaurant. Really recommended. We had steak tartare, Sirloin beef, vegetables and for dessert a honey dessert.

I consider myself extremely lucky to have eaten in many of the worlds top restaurants from street food all the way through Michelin 1,2 and 3 stars and the lunch I just ate today at this spectacular restaurant is up their with the best dining experience’s I’ve ever had !!!
The property itself is stunning and tastefully luxurious yet still cool with jaw dropping views of Zakopane’s surrounding mountains.
My son and I ate the 5 course tasting menu ( all of which were, beautifully balanced, complex, cerebral and top top class ) consisting of Beef Tartare With Forest Mushrooms,
Lime Tree Egg With Reblechon De Savoie, Cauliflower & Bacon, A Sensational Lamb Veloute With Braised Lamb Leg & Pommes Duchesse, Beautiful Local Trout With Confit Potatoes, PakChoi Cabbage, Smoked Parsley Sauce & Trout Caviar and to finish possible the best Crème Brûlée I’ve ever had ( with milk from their own cow ) !!
This was all washed down with 5 different and interesting wines by the glass
Service from the delightful Monika was friendly and fun yet professional and elegant.
They have been open since the summer and will unquestionably be awarded a Michelin Star and it would not surprise if they go straight in with 2 !!
I cant recommend this wonderful restaurant highly enough and I will definitely be back.

This place is a must try for any food lover!!! You will enjoy celebrating any occasion with a meal here, especially those who really like to indulge. This fine dining restaurant in Koscielisko blends in a beautiful manner modern cuisine influences, seasonal produce, contemporary décor and winning wines to create a setting perfect for any occasion. If you’re looking to make it an exclusive event, then the restaurant has a selection of private dining rooms ready and waiting to host you and your guests for a lunch, dinner or cigar night to remember. Most importantly the creativity of the menu sets (5 or 7 perfectly made dishes) gives an amazing journey throughout the best Polish ingredients which allows to explore the finest delicacies of the local cuisine prepared in the greatest French way of cooking.

We had very mixed experience.
The food quality was real good, the flavors were on the spot. The dessert was the only weak point, didn’t taste bad but nothing exceptional.
The mushroom tart in a broth and the lamb dish were the best, we could eat them again.
The service was beyond Michelin star, honestly real poor. No manager was visible. Understaffed, to the bare minimum.
The wine list is theoretical- we asked for several wines from the list, not available.
The waiter - who was not a sommelier - made a great choice by intuition- took us to the wine cellar. The wines were completely different from the list.
The prices were random.
We ordered a bottle of Valdicava Brunello di Montalcino. I repeatedly asked for the price- he said 500 Plz .
I knew it is underpriced, but I will not complain. We ordered the wine. On the final bill the charge was 990 plz - still ok price , but if no wine list with written price- it was unfair to charge the double of what was said.
I don’t think it is too hard to print an updated wine list!
The service was not attentive, we needed to wait to refill the wine and the water.
We felt , the staff is not rude, they were simply not trained.
The restaurant has a great potential- we were wondering about the owner?
Does the owner really cares?
The building is nice, seemingly a lot of money was invested!
I would be happy to consult and train the staff - not for free!

Midday saturday. 5 cars outside and no clients inside.
1. Customer tried to enter eith a dog to sit on terrace. Hostess says - policy prohibits dogs!
2. Us - 2 kids + 2 adults. Hostess says “we have all rooms reserved”, “our special room for kids is reserved today”, “we don’t have menu for kids” : if they lie about food as about policy - its very poor place!!!
Simply stay away as its not Polish Hospitality!!!

We had a problem with checking to our hotel because there were nobody there, so we decided to eat something, because this restaurant was near the hotel and try to connect with hotel.
So we arrived to this restaurant anf found that it wasn't working. Our baby was hungry and we decided to feed her there in the car.
But the owner told us, that it was a private territory (though there weren't any signs of prohibition to drive on parking) and we had to move out.
That's rediculous attitude to people, who came to restaraunt and couldn't even eat there because it was closed

One of the best restaurants we have been to so far !!
We have found this place due to a great recommendation through the hotel .
We didn’t even imagine how splendid and spectacular place was opened in Zakopane .
Restaurant is located in the modern mountains style villa . Interior design … decor ect are just top of the notch… you will not easily find a place like that in Sankt Moritz or Couroshchel !!
Tasting menu in this place is just delightful!! There are no words to describe this feeling!
Service is the best ever ! Also the owner of this place is a charming person

Excuse me sir but nobody "kicked" you out. Our waiters and owner gently informed about our policy. There's plenty of other places where children under age of 10 are more than welcome. We can understand that somebody disagrees with our policy but without even being in the restaurant and tasting our menu why would you rate a restaurant so low.

Extraordinary place. Ive seen the building few times already. I didint expect a place like this in Koscielisko. Big potential, great cuisine, staff was on point. In my opinion some critics should visit this place as fast as possible. The owner is a very kind person. He's always there to help.

A beautiful restaurant with an amazing room manager is an addition to exceptional food. I recommend it to anyone who is in Zakopane and the surrounding area.

Just in few sentences: i got here because of my friend. He was here during their opening. I was kinda sceptical at first but I have to admit this is something totally different. Fine dining cuisine 5/5. The owner is always at the door. Waiters are kind and helpful. I even manage to download TripAdvisor as I knew they're totally new. Crazy views and...cigar room and VIP ROOM. I even had a small talk with Chef because it turned out he's from Cracow as well. He explained me the whole idea. It's a perfect place for business meetings. Why? Because kids under age of 10 are not allowed as well as pets. Perfect for me! I truly recommend this place.
