We have visited Les Catounes several times for morning coffee but dined there for the first time at lunchtime to-day. This is an unusual place being a shop for clothes and knick-knacks as well as a restaurant. Food and wine were good, service possibly a little slow although we were told that the chef was unexpectedly away. The food had... More

We have enjoyed morning coffee on a number of occasions and last week decided to try Les Catounes for lunch. We were both very pleasantly surprised. The lunch was tasty and well presented and on a warm spring day the venue is hard to beat. A first class meal with first class service to match.

We called into town to look round some vineyards in the afternoon and called here for lunch. It turned out to be the best meal weve had this holiday. My partner had the 19 euro vegetarian plate and i had the seafood which was sublime, king prawns, salmon, scallops, lentils, salad and homemade puffed chips. Big serving then a cafe... More

Ate here one night last week. Decided to eat in the courtyard as it was such a warm night. Gazpacho to start for all four of us and then we had delicous seafood dishes. Waiter was helpful and attentive and the chef stopped to chat with us after service finished for the evening.

We came here after reading the reviews on trip advisor. We were not disappointed . Great decor and the chairs and tables with the surrounds was very relaxing and comfortable , it's the sort of restaurant that you could sit around and talk for hours. We didnt book but were made very welcome. My entrée was plentiful with clean distinctive... More

This was our first visit to Les Catounes (No14). The service was excellent and the food delicious. We had three courses and each was delicious. We come from Australia to our place in Puy l'Eveque each year and will certainly be back here again next year.

We happened upon this retaurant when we got lost driving around the Dordogne, and it was a good thing too! The food was absolutely delicious and the 14 euro lunch menu was superb. I tried the foie gras and magret de canard brochette which was divine - juicy, tasty and so full of flavour. My friends had the fish and... More

This delightful restaurant is just off the main square. The restaurant is actually called No 14. Lunch time was multi national and busy which is a good sign in a small town. Evenings are by appointment only but the owners were pleased to accommodate. The restaurant has really nice art/decor and the staff are efficient and friendly. The food was... More
