The Location is good and offers oppty to sit outside even into late October due to heating outside. Food is commercial but quality is good. They have a great playground for the kids. Overall convenient and easy with larger groups and offers something for everyone !

Romantic authentic Tirol decor. Fantastic food for very honest sometimes even low prices. We did had to ask for other music (pop music is not realy what you're looking for in a Tirol restaurant).

If you are hungry this is a place for you. The portions they serve are big and their pizzas are even bigger if too heavy. We had a dinner there on the night we arrived to Lagundo. It was easy to access and open door terrace for dining was very green and comfortable. Ruster seems to be very popular. Good... More

When we go down the mountain to Meran, we always stop at the Ruster for a meal. It is always the high point of our day. The garden area has great views of the Schloss Tirol (Tyrolean Castle) and the entire Adige Valley. It is always a relaxing, fun experience. We recommend this restaurant to anyone, young or old, who... More

We were trying to have an authentic sud tyrolean experience, instead we got a tourist trap with overcooked schnitzel (how do you do schnitzel wrong) and terrible musicians. If you're in Lagundo up in the hills, do yourself a favor and walk the short mile down into the little village and eat at a number of better establishments - that... More

We stayed in the hotel and ate at the restaurant and found the rooms spacious and clean and the food was tasty. It was good value for money and the service was friendly and prompt.

This is a favorite distination for tourists and locals alike. How can you beat a stunning view of the Tirol Castle, great food and the atmosphere of a centuries old building? The food offerings are a blend of traditional Tirolean specialties, continental and yes, even Mexican dishes. Don't forget the special menu for Mexican food, usually in November. We are... More

We had dinner in the restaurant 3 nights. Once in the larger room upstairs with the wonderful view and a bonfire when getting dark outside. In the Kamin Stube which is a traditional, wooden room or in The “Torggl” also wooden room, but, different as it's a bar and has the local feeling known for this area. Also the different... More

Good, basic German food served in an inviting outdoor area as well as indoors. The patio area is partially covered so there is shade available when it's sunny. The local wine was of good quality also. The menue is extensive so there is something to please most every taste. Our waiter was helpful with suggestions and patient while we made... More

The ancient South Tyrolean farmhouse of the 12th century was renovated according to its old style and opened as a restaurant in 1977. Since then it has been restored and enlarged every now and then. There are different “Stube” offering space for 10 to 70 people such as the Josef Stube, the Kamin Stube with fireplace, the Romantikstube, the Torggl and the cellar. In addition there are two partly covered gardens: the Palms Garden with 180 seats and the Beer Garden with 60 seats.A unique dining experience is waiting for you at the Ruster Restaurant. We have a wide selection of dishes, hopefully enough to satisfy every diner. Why not try local dishes and the delicious traditional cuisine of South Tyrol? What about a superb dinner in the intimate and inviting ambience of the typical “stube” or in the beer garden? Our chef cooks impeccably executed menus of local and international dishes that are served in relaxed surroundings. Obviously the dinner is complemented by an excellent wine list or by the most exquisite beers. Enjoy dining in a different way and remember Virginia Wolf’s words: "One cannot think well, love well, sleep well if one has not dined well”...
