Excellent food and great Ciders. We like to take our dog there with us. We will be going more often in the new year.

Visited on a Monday lunchtime and we received a very friendly welcome. Excellent local ales on offer and great selection of local produce on a reasonably priced menu. Portions were more than ample and food was well cooked and served in good time. This is a lovely traditional country pub and we and our fellow diners enjoyed a tranquil atmosphere... More

Great little pub. The bar area has more atmosphere than the restaurant. Go for the local sausages and mash if you get the chance.

Our friends discovered this wonderful restaurant by chance and were keen to share their good fortune with us. The delicious Cornish seafood starter was packed with crab, prawns, smoked salmon and an avocado salsa. The twice cooked cheese soufflé and tempura prawns and calamari were also well received by my fellow diners. Three of us opted for the rump of... More

Family get-together on a Saturday afternoon and we really enjoyed this place. Great home made bread and very tasty olive tapenade with a decent kick of garlic to start with. Best Haddock & Chips I have had for ages. Chunky chips were crispy on the edges and the fish was very nicely cooked through. Nice crispy batter and a nice... More

Decided to meet here for lunch with a friend and were not disappointed. The staff were friendly and informative and the food was superb. Huge portions meant we only needed one course. Would have come back if we had not planned other things.

I came here for lunch with my parents (who live in France); even though this pub is a little out of the way, it was worth the detour. The service was impeccable and the setting/atmosphere was understated, cozy elegance. We found each dish absolutely exquisite. Thank you very much for taking such good care of us.

What a little gem. We went in with friends for dinner. Lady running the pub was out very friendly, lovely sunny back garden. The food we had was great, had a great selection of fish on it, pub classics but all slightly above your normal pub nosh. We where chatting to the owner and she was saying they are about... More

Description
Alison Green became the new manager of The Red Lion Britwell Salome in September 2015. The pub is once again at the heart of village life, a place where you are as welcome for a drink and a chat as for a tasty meal. Our redecorated bar blends style with tradition, a relaxing place to enjoy real ales or fine wines with friends and family. High quality food, freshly prepared using local produce, is as important as ever. Our restaurant with its new menu aims for a wide appeal, including pub classics and distinctive dishes, as well as lighter fare. We are also delighted to cater for celebrations and special events, tailored to your specific needs. In addition to the bar and restaurant, you can enjoy our delightful cottage-style garden. The Red Lion team looks forward to welcoming you here soon.
