Firstly you need to book in advance. This is exceptional food at a reasonable rate; in London we would have spent twice as muxh for similar fayre. We had a lovely evening, good wines, really great service (the Lady running the front of house is brilliant) and teh food was imaginative and exceptionally tasty. Highly recommended.

Excellent food and a great wine list. Popularity has depleted some of the older vintages from the rare wines list. Both had the mini tasting menu washed down with a bottle of the Raveneau Grand Cru Valmur 2011 The beef was the star of the food show and a surprisingly good pairing with the wine.

Wonderful ambiance and food with reasonably priced wine. Three courses with an Apéritif and a bottle of Petit Chablis with tip €100 for two. Busy even on a rainy Thursday night with locals as well as tourists. We would eat here again.

We came as a couple and booked the 5 course degustation. The wine - we selected a 2010 Chablis Grand Cru Les Clos from Raveneau. (85€ ... what????) So the wine itself at that price is unbelievable. The food - 45€ per head for 5 courses. Tap water? Yes! No worries and most in the restaurant had carafe water. No... More

One of the best meals I have had in years. Go for one of the tasting menus so you can sample as much of this wonderful food as possible. The chef succeeds in producing food which is both light and packed full of interesting flavour at the same time. The presentation and service were also excellent. Can't wait to return.

We stayed at the hotel attached to this restaurant and the meal was included in the package. And what a surprise we got not really knowing what to expect. The 7 course degustation was superb - beautifully presented and flavoursome. The courses worked well and whilst there were generous portions it was not overdone. A good selection of wines in... The restaurant is inside a hotel which sits over the river. Beautiful location but It's not signposted from the centre and not obvious even when at the entrance to the building. The name is written on the barrel outside so look out for that if you are visiting. We arrived a little early hoping to have a drink first but... More

I had heard and read so many positive things about the restaurant but I must say I was a bit disappointed. The entree was delicious - a soup w foie gras - but the main dish was a catastrophe - Cabillaud - tough like meat. I told the serveuse about it but she did not act not even "excuse -... More

We had the 32 euro menu which was great value. The choice may be a little limited for some but we had great food. The wine, Chablis of course, was served at a very reasonable price.

Our meal was delicious...very unusual in its presentation and in some of the ingredients...inspired by the Japanese chef. We enjoyed every morsel. We were also grateful not to be overwhelmed by too many extras prior to and after the meal.
