what a wonderful place to visit, the staff are all attentive and friendly, the food is amazing value for money and so delicious 😋. You have to take time to eat at this cosy family run pub, something for everyone.

Attended a charity casino night brilliant atmosphere, super Buffet, I have eaten many buffet's but none as this one - all the food was well cooked and delicious - not like so many where the food is normally cold precooked and tasteless. All in all quality food and a great evening.

We came here last night for our Camera Club Dinner at the recommendation of one of our members. As soon as we arrived it felt right, with a comfortably warm interior on what was a cold, wet and windy night. We (all 30 of us) had pre-chosen from a specified menu which helped the staff to provide excellent service despite... More

What an absolute gem. The food menu offered a wonderful selection of food, locally sourced and seasonal. The only problem for all four of us was choosing. The presentation was lovely and the combination of flavours superb. The Shiraz and Chardonnay wine (by the glass) were excellent and Wye Valley Stout smooth and perfectly kept. This topped with great service... More

On a recent visit to the UK, as my daughter lives locally, we dined at this beautiful Pub/Restaurant. It's not the first time I have dined there. The food, as always, was Very good; well presented with fresh, locally grown vegetables. There's always a good atmosphere......the staff make you so welcome. We love the room with the log fire! We... Where do I start, has a great atmosphere and you have three areas to choose from-the pub area which has an open fire, is cosy and it's where it's always buzzing with atmosphere. The lounge which has also an open fire and is just off the pub/bar area but a little quieter and more intimate and the restaurant which is... More

I`ve been here before and had melon starter, comes with lemon or strawberry sorbet.mmmmm! Would definitely recommend the beef. Had ours well done. gorgeous gravy! Actually everything was superb. Been here... More

We called at The Oak Inn en route to Shepton Mallet after seeing the Tripadvisor reviews. Slight problem with our Google maps to begin with which took us to The Old Oak Inn at Pershore but never mind. We were greeted by very friendly staff and had a very nice Latte and a glass of Malbec while we waited for... More

Lunch following Remembrance Ceremony and couldn't have asked for a more friendly and helpful welcome from the pub staff who were most considerate and patient. Food was great, served professionally and with no delay. Particularly liked the opportunity for all in the party to sit at one large table rather than separately.
