I’ve never tasted such bland food and never been given such terrible service. I’ve visited multiple times, invited by friends and every time there has been an issue with food but staff refuse to admit fault (even after setting off an allergic reaction of a...More

Visited with wife. Very quick service and large servings. Smoothies and juices are a standout. Try the burrito. Try the choc smoothie.

I had to sample this 'famous' vegetarian restaurant. It has been a popular hang out to dine at for around 30 years. It was full of people eating and socialising. The service was great.

Popped in for a cup of tea and a slice of carrot cake. Delicious. Friendly staff. Looked like they had a great selection of vegan meals. A bit warm in the window seat, though.

Never disappointed by the food, and I have gone here with people who are avid meat-eaters who have thoroughly enjoyed it also. The only downside is how busy it is at peak times & inability to book for small parties (often resulting in a long...More

I'm not a vegetarian, but I went here with friends and I got the bolognese pasta. OMG, it was so nice! It was just to die for. Highly recommended.

First visit here and even for a non vegetarian there are some great tasty meals on offer. Staff could of been a little more happy but that would be my only complaint.

Usually I wouldn’t really have a bad word to say about The Vegie Bar, but my half portion of sweet potato fries and a burnt bun (this picture didn’t capture the worst of it), was sorely disappointing. The Royale chocolate cake however was fantastic. This...More

Fitzroy is an unusual blend of working class roots,
hip gentrification, and a robust bohemian work ethic.
Along Brunswick Street and its side streets, you'll
find little independent shops where local clothes and
furniture designers display their wares. There are
specialist bookshops, funky record bars, and quality
vintage clothing shops where browsing is the next best
thing to buying. Gertrude Street is famous for its

We found it really easy to find our way just using the google map function an the public transport option from wherever we where without having to download any specific apps. Did get there by tram, not sure which one.
