Hidden in a quite corner of a quiter lane in Fitzroy, Grub cafe was quite refreshing to our mood with quirky decor and so much color and greens around. A dull winter morning in Melbourne was not dull anymore, thanks to the Vibrant setting. Other...More

We lobbed in here on a Friday afternoon post lunch. Excellent service and food. Whilst we were in a late lunch mode, nothing was too much trouble. Good kids menu, animals roaming the cafe and good vibes. Enjoy

Every visit here is a taste experience. This time we both had smashed pea bruschetta with a perfectly poached egg on top. Beautiful produce well prepared and presented. If there is any problem at Grub it is that it is always popular and can be...More

Tucked away from the bustle of Brunswick st this a fav for locals. I come regularly for the food and smiles. Also the coffee and wine. Has good spaces outside on a nice day.

The place is amazing! The food is just divine! I love the atmosphere within the restaurant and the outdoor terrace is just the perfect place. Recommend the chicken salad and the iced coffee and chocolate. Friendly waiters!

My husband and I tried this place today for lunch. The food was ok but not great. My husband had the coconut chicken salad that was pretty plain tasting and pretty anemic looking. I had the school prawn salad, which was not to my liking...More

My boyfriend and I were really dissappointed by this place. The place looks really funky and nice and the presentation of the dishes was good, but in our opinion the food tasted mediocre at best. No idea how this place has such a good rating.

Fitzroy is an unusual blend of working class roots,
hip gentrification, and a robust bohemian work ethic.
Along Brunswick Street and its side streets, you'll

furniture designers display their wares. There are
specialist bookshops, funky record bars, and quality
vintage clothing shops where browsing is the next best

Hi. There should be no problems getting a table for a group of 8. However, please call grub on 03 9419 8991 for bookings, as i don't have access to the bookings book. Hope to see you then. Cheers Mark

Yes indeed, dogs are welcome. In fact the lovely Grub people keep a supply of dog biscuits on hand for their canine customers. We actually sat inside with a friend's dog, both of whom are regular customers.
