This was a stop on an excursion on a Viking Cruise Ship. We had a large lunch with many local items of local cuisine. The food was abundant the varieties lovely. We had a 4 or 5 course meal. Much more than we expected. Beer, wine and Sangria was also included. After our large group finished lunch there was a Flamingo Show. The show was very good. We were a large group, so it was a bit crowded. The restaurant food and staff did a great job. It was a wonderful local experience.

They have the best spot for a nice meal & amazing flamenco shows. I go there often and love to go back there, not only because of the heritage of Camarón de la Isla but because it feels like home...

Typical spanish food and some home cooking type dishes, decent portions and very good prices. Service was very good. Can eat at the bar or have a sit down meal. The actual restaurant has lots of history with regards to Flamenco artists, and is still frequented by some regularly, you may be lucky to see someone there as we were. It appears to be a spanish patio converted, and I would suggest before you sit down to eat to take a walk around and look at the photos and memorabilia on display, after you eat you probably wont be able to get up! I would go back here.

I first went there over 50 years ago on a visit to San Fernando (La Isla) and have returned many times since. This is a place for what might be called "typical" food from this area and always of the highest quality. The service is always impeccable. This is also the best place to see memorabilia dedicated to Cameron de la Isla as well as other flamanco performers.

Our starters and main course were delicious, however, the desert was disappointing and synthetic tasting.
This is definitely not the place for a couple as the portion sizes are HUGE and therefor you can’t try much of a variety of dishes.
Our server was very unfriendly, and didn’t give us much advice on what to order. When we asked about the possibility of half portion sizes he flatly refused.
Overall, Not bad.

We have been there dozens of times in more than 25 years. It has succeeded in keeping the same typical atmosphere and the same top quality in traditional local food. Do not ask for sophistications or "new cuisine". But if you want to taste good fish and tradicional homemade andalousian cuisine, this is the place in San Fernando. We recommend having tapas at the bar, but service in the restaurant is excellent and not expensive. In the bar you can eat rather well by 20 euros per couple. In the restaurant price is about double if you go for a bottle of wine and grilled fish. They have good private rooms for special celebrations.

Often referred as the best place in town by locals, though not ideally located. Nevertheless, I would recommend it to anyone visiting this area. Not especially for its food, which I would rate only a little bit beyond average (although 'tortillita de camarones' is said to be the best in Spain), but for the underlying piece of history (the great Camaron de la Isla, master of flamenco song, used to hang around).

This place is a no brainer if you want an excellent meal in San Fernando. La Venta de Vargas also happens to be the place where Camaron de La Isla got his start to become the most important Flamenco singer of the past 50 years.
Apart from all the wonderful food the service is very professional.

We were very comfortable, eating very rich, typical things, although not very cheap (we ate the menu to 36 people) but everything was good and the atmosphere very nice!!

Wonderful corner, for its history, gastronomy and treatment of the Picardo brothers. Not to be missed for Flamencos and those who spend a good palate.

The menu is made up of traditional island food: cuttlefish, puntillitas, ortiguillas, presa, etc... What we ordered: the shrimp tortillas were very bad, greasy and oily. The tasteless estuary pate (sea bass). The little lace and the normal oxtail. The seafood clams are very good. The dessert, which was vanilla ice cream with sky bacon on top and some liquor that I don't remember, was quite delicious. The waitress, a blonde girl with a ponytail,
Great, always attentive and friendly.
The site is very picturesque, with multiple memories of Camarón and other members of Andalusian folklore. It has a flamenco tablao but we didn't have any performances.

I have eaten there at noon with my family. I was very excited because I am a big fan of flamenco. Big disappointment. We ordered shrimp omelettes and croquettes. They were trash. Where were shrimp omelettes born? Oh really? Fried chocos. More garbage. Hard and burned.
The rest of the food was better, bull's tail, clams, San Jacobo...
The staff is friendly and attentive but it is a place for tourists. They live off the history of the sale. It is a pity. I will never go back there again.

The place is very nice, the service is unbeatable, and the food is delicious. If you want something traditional in San Fernando this is a great place to enjoy. We loved the shrimp pancakes, bienmesabe. The dessert of tocino de cielo and the ice cream with a touch of Pedro Ximene that complements it. Totally price quality!

Spectacular! The croquettes, the anchovies, the seasoned potatoes but the shrimp pancakes are spectacular!

Food for 10, beautiful show (at 11:00 p.m.). The waitress, Mamen, a sweetheart, attentive to absolutely everything and everyone, and there were quite a few tables. Great shrimp omelets, potatoes, salmorejo, sole, EVERYTHING!!
Mandatory visit if you are in San Fernando
