We visited twice during our stay at the Villa Yasleni. The first time as a group of 6, with two Spanish speakers, really late in the evening. It didn't seem to matter that we were so late...the food was excellent. The other vegetarian and I in the group had a delicious salad and a potato omelette. The second time we were down to a group of 4 - still with two vegetarians but with no Spanish speakers (well, my Spanish is very weak.) Again, no problem...the two meat eaters had chicken fillets with potatoes and the lovely man cooking the food had remembered that the potato omelette went down well with us two vegetarians the first time. If you work at the bar and are reading this review - I have used Google translate by the way, thank you so much for looking after us so well! If you wonder what the laughter was about it was because I had misunderstood the words and had told my daughter she was getting a pudding - when in fact it seems that I had said 'yes' to some more chicken and potatoes.More

We ate here twice and really enjoyed the food and the atmosphere. For lunch we had the menu of the day (€6) and the Tapas (€4) both of which were excellent and really good value for money. In the evening we had steaks which were...cooked perfectly, the portions are huge so we ended up boxing up what we couldn't eat. With our limited Spanish we got by and got the feeling they appreciated us trying even if we weren't any good at it, google translate is your friend :)More

A five star meal in a remote white village. The staff was warm and welcoming and the tapas were probably the best we have had in 3 years living in spain. My husband and I split a menu of the day and walked away feeling...full and overwhelmed by the beautiful presentation and flavors. The food was cooked to perfection. We congratulated the chef for a wonderful meal after which she said she cooked with love. She did. We will be back again and again and again....,More

We rode through this area a few times on bikes. The scenery around is stunning. Simply natural rural beauty. If you live in a town it's wonderful to see people at work in the fields, pruning , burning and working hard. We just stopped for...coffee and hot chocolate & got offered cakes too. There is sitting outside. The"facilities " are very clean. Call by and experience some of the locals in what is their favorite hang out.More

This is one of my favourtie places in Andalucia. Whenever I'm in the area I make a point of visiting the Bar to enjoy the wonderful food cooked by Rosa. Following a recent refurbishment there is now much more space on the outside terrace and...for those seeking something a bit cooler, great air conditioning in the main bar. This typical, family run, Spanish Bar Restaurant is a gem and should be visited if you are in Arenas.More

What more can you ask for on a trip to the mountains than somewhere to stop for a delicious, relaxed lunch and a warm welcome. When staying nearby I come here every afternoon for much and a couple of drinks. For the cyclists, it's worth...nothing that the coffee is great too! The food is really amazing, do yourself the favour of ordering various tapas and have a wonderful surprise! Writing this makes me want to be back there.More

mostly visited by older locals who just sit there or locals passing by for a quick & cheap 3 course lunch. It's unbeatable in price and one gets served honest 'mama's kitchen' without any frills. When was the last time you had handmade French fries?...Time has stood still in this mountain village.More

It doesn't look like a bar or restaurant or anywhere a non local might visit, but its an interesting and popular place in a very remote little Spanish village, where you can stop for some refreshment and be amazed at how cheap it was.

The times are usually approximate. Anyway, I will recommend changing the schedules to the real ones. Usually it rests 2 hours and they close at 5 in the afternoon. They will change it in a few days.
