Great location for a casual meal if you are in the area. Situated right next to the main road, so can be a bit noisy when dining outside, although the views are nice and the wooden terrace is pleasant in summer. I would certainly recommend...trying the pizza, which is baked on site in a traditional clay oven. It is truly delicious and the quality is consistent. In terms of other foods on offer, the quality is unfortunately very variable. For a casual dinner in the area, I would nonetheless recommend the Cukorborso as it is better priced and located than most restaurants in the surrounding areas of Budakeszi and Budaörs. A unique ambience with friendly staff and great pizza. Dogs are also welcome!More

Slow service, cold food, and inattentive waitress.

Not recommended. The food was ok, but the waitress was totally lost and did not pay attention / know the menu well. Soups came out lukewarm as well as the main courses. Although we asked about the dish before ordering, we did not get what...we expected. We called out chef to raise a complaint who was very sorry for the situation and offered a discount from the end of the bill.More

Slow and understaffed.

We wanted to have a nice Saturday lunch as a couple approx a week ago. It was a nice sunny day and we had a good mood. We took a seat, or actually: -"Sit down there at the corner and I will come soon" -...the waitress said (ok we expected to show our table, but anyway, doesn't matter...) We were waiting quite couple of time for the waitress to bring the menu and ask what we want to drink on that hot day. We asked for lemonade. It took 15 more minutes to bring the lemonade. Which was not cold at all. ughh...rather warm. We ordered our lunch quickly. The starter was fruit soup... you know: The one that you prepare with mixer and you do not need to cook! Half hour just passed and the food is still not arriving. - The problem is, that they did not even told us, that they are extremely overloaded and we should wait more than 45 minutes for our food. So after spending there all-together 45 minutes with a warm lemonade we decided to stand up and leave! The waitress asked "what is the problem". I told her. And I am unfortunately not kind when I am hungry. And I already was. You can imagine. WE RATHER HAD LUNCH SOMEWHERE ELSE, where the drink arrived within 3 minutes from our order and the main course was delivered within 10 minutes. At least Saturday was saved.More

Excellent Gluten-free options

Loved the gluten free pasta, very nice location, and nice staff. Very family friendly and cosy as well.

Excellent pizza

Visited twice in ~2 months. We had pizzas on both occasions. They were excellent, with authentic Italian-style thin crust, tasty and generous amount of homemade tomato sauce, and excellent quality toppings. There are quite a selection of pizzas on the menu, and even the simplest...ones taste delicious, thanks to the high quality ingredients. The pizzas are baked in a traditional wood fired oven and this adds to the flavor. Service was very good, and the homemade lemonades were also excellent. Prices are somewhat on the higher side, but you really get what you pay for. Overall, great experience, highly recommended for anyone looking for a nice Italian-style pizza.More

Quick lunch

We had a quick lunch today. The resaturant was almost empty when we arrived. Staff was very polite. I ordered a soup with icecream, and found a fried potato in it. The icrecream wasn't fresh, it tasted fridge. The meals were ok, my chicken wasn't...perfect. We had desserts, tasty and nice. My coffee was great. The restaurant is nice and clean.More

A great place in Páty

Visited the Cukorborso a number of times now. I really like the place. The food is great, the service very friendly and the overall atmosphere very homely. I would recommend it to anyone traveling nearby. In Summer the garden and large out door terrace make...it extra special. It’s become one of my regular places to visit in the meantime.More

An extremely loud live band music spoiled our dining experience

We only had dinner in this restaurant once, and we didn't get lucky. There was a 2-member band playing live music, extremely loud. We couldn't hear even our own voices. Food was average. I ordered Caesar salad, but had to ask especially for the croutons...as the salda did not include that originally. It is possible that the place is much more pleasant without music, but I don't feel like giving it another go.More

Former restaurant owner

I have been there twice and at both occassions it was perfect. Well sesoened and great cocking skills in the kicken I would say. The service is also very good, fast and efficiant. I be back a lot of times I am quite sure 😀😀

Great for family

We enjoyed our time there a lot. It is a really good place with kids. The food was really good. A few things that could be improved: 1. although there is a kids menu we did not know it before ordering. 2. Little more options,...maybe even vegetarian would be even better. The playground is awesome. One note here: one part of the handrail was broken on the big climbing frame. Please fix :)More
