This restaurant is located right on the beach and if you're visiting on a weekend in the summer it's advisable to book as they get busy
We visited La Playa three times, we don't eat fish but did see a couple order a salt baked...fish which looked amazing and was served on a trolly at their table
They have a wood fired oven and the pizza and garlic bread was amazing, really Crispy and delicious. We ordered spag bol, which was perfect, reminded me of being in Rome, pasta coated with sauce and meat. This was less than 10 lev
Hubbie ordered steak which was flambéd at the table in Jack Daniels and served with saute potatoes. That was a bit more expensive at 29 lev.
They have an expansive menu, waiter doesn't speak any English, but the menu is in English so easy to order.
The desserts are also great, we had a creme brulee and a strawberry, Greek yogurt, chia seed and biscuit dessert. These were only 6 lev.
The only aspect that caught us out one night was ordering a btl of French wine by pointing to it on the shelf and not asking the price (this was 60 lev and made our total evening bill 105 lev) so expensive for Bulgaria bit still only £50 for a meal out, bargain.
Staff are lovely, smiling, friendly and attentive. A welcome break from the hotel we stayed at :)More
My girlfriend and I enjoyed a lovely meal here tonight. We were seated very quickly and were given the choice of where we wanted rather than being shown to a table.
The food was outstanding. We each had a bowl of mussels and chips for...our main course followed by biscuit cake for my girlfriend and the ice cream and fruit for me. I can't fault the food at all, the mussels tasted very fresh and only had one or two which were closed. The white wine and garlic sauce was to die for.
I ordered a local beer which was very nice and came in a stein (a nice change from the tiny plastic cups of the all inclusive) followed by a mojito which was made of entirely fresh ingredients and tasted fantastic. My girlfriend ordered 2 strawberry daiquiris which again were fresh and tasted amazing.
The staff were very attentive and helpful when serving us. The only downside was that they didn't come over to us for a while after we had finished our mains but I can't mark them down for that due to the rest of the experience.
The meal cost is 72 Lev (£36) which is amazing value for money. If we ever make it back down to this part of the coast on another holiday. I will definitely be coming back here.More
Greeted and seated quickly on a beautiful evening by the black sea. Started with drinks, followed by our mains. Steaks cooked as we asked. The veal ribs literally fell off the bone with little encouragement. Home cooked chips were delicious too. If in Nestinarka, give La Playa...a go.
For the one bad review. Give it another go. None of us are 100% all the time. If you don’t speak Bulgarian like me,make a little effort by using google translate.More
